Lea Michele, Joe Manganiello, Ariana Grande + More Stars Join Ryan Murphy’s FOX Horror Show Scream Queens
Lea Michele is reteaming with “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy on his new series “Scream Queens.” She joins previously announced stars Emma Roberts and Jamie Lee Curtis in the new comedy horror anthology series coming to FOX this fall. At the Television Critics’ Press Association tour on Saturday, Michele and more co-stars were announced.
Joe Manganiello, Abigail Breslin and KeKe Palmer have also come on board. Ariana Grande will have a recurring role. The show’s first season will revolve around a series of murders on a college campus. Presuming the series is renewed, the second season would feature a new plot and likely different stars, much like Murphy’s “American Horror Story,” which also features Roberts.
Michele, of course, is currently wrapping up the final season of “Glee,” which helped propel her from Broadway actress to Hollywood star. “Scream Queens” will mark Manganiello’s first television project since “True Blood” ended, while Palmer spent last year hosting the BET show “Just KeKe,” appearing on “Masters of Sex,” and starring in Cinderella on Broadway. Breslin is best known as an acclaimed film star with a few guest-starring TV credits to her name. And Grande, while currently dominating as a pop star, has had TV success with “Victorious” and “Sam & Cat.”
“Scream Queens” is slated to premiere as part of the fall 2015 television season. It will initially consist of 15 episodes. Do you like the way the cast is shaping up?
