WATCH: Lazaro Arbos Loses His Extreme Stutter During Moving Idol Audition

Lazaro Arbos didn’t let his significant stutter stop him from auditioning for “American Idol.”

As seen on Thursday’s show, the 21-year-old Cuban native who moved to Florida when he was 10, compared his impairment to being on a “roller coaster” that left him a social outcast.

But Arbos’ stutter was nowhere to be found during his moving rendition of “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” and the judges were left in awe.

“It’s amazing that the stammer doesn’t happen when you sing,” Randy Jackson told him.

Keith Urban loved Arbos’ voice so much, he suggested the contestant “just sing all the time.”

Mariah Carey called his performance “beautiful,” and Nicki Minaj said she found Arbos “very, very inspiring.”

And after the judges voted unanimously to send him to Hollywood, Arbos broke down in happy tears.

    It’s not fake. I went to school with him many years ago. His stutter is completely real. Sad that some of you assholes think its fake. Not everybody is faking their way into fame.

    Yeah it’s fake he lies about it for sympathy. He’s already a proven liar as he said he just learned that Beatles song the night before and jimmy called him out on it.

    Its, fake, and he is a complete bitch, he deliberately pulled that stunt last night of forgetting his lines. the 3 contestants are all gay and very competitive, you could see the other 2 were clearly in the knowledge that he is a faker when it comes to his stammer. and then when Ryan said that “suger pie honey” was his fathers favourite song , after Nicki slamming the performance, he so quickly bitched back ” Sorry Dad” his facial expressions were bitchy during the performance almost out of control where he was communicating to the audience that he was too good to participate in a performance where the other two gay contestants might look good. anyone who tries to comment here and says he is not full of it is part of his publicity team or just another stupid american who sucks up all the lies on tv and is too stupid to see things in front of them that is real. Yea I said it… biatches…

    I just met him like a week ago. He’s from my town and he got a day named after him. He didn’t have nearly as difficult time speaking as he does on the show. -_-
