Laurie Hernandez Nails Perfect “Showstoppers” Routine On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ (VIDEO)
Laurie Hernandez and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy nailed another perfect score on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars.” The two performed a flawless Argentine tango to “Cell Block Tango” from the Broadway show “Chicago” during the show’s “Showstoppers”-themed night. Watch the video below.
Hernandez bounced back big-time last week, performing a flawless Viennese waltz to Jane Monheit’s “Pure Imagination.” After dominating “Dancing With The Stars” week-after-week, the Olympic gold medalist began to falter for a couple of weeks, though remained high enough up on the leader board. But on Halloween, Hernandez was back on track and received a perfect score for her routine with Chmerkovskiy.
Bruno Tonioli expressed, “That was truly a magical Halloween treat,” adding that it “brought tears to my eyes.” Meanwhile, Carrie Ann Inaba noted, “Your dancing was divine.” And Juianne Hough simply stated, “Well done!”
And she stayed again this week. For her Argentine tango to “Cell Block Tango” from the Broadway show “Chicago,” Hough offered, “This was the perfect dance” to showcase her talents. Tonioli exclaimed, “You are guilty of killing the tango!” Inaba loved it as well. Guest judge Idina Menzel added that the Olympian was sexy. Hernandez and Chmerkovskiy received a total of 40 out of 40 points, as a result.
