Laurie Hernandez Dances Perfect Freestyle During ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Finals (VIDEO)
Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy nailed yet another perfect routine on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars” finals. It was the dancing pair’s second flawless dance of the night. Hernandez and Chmerkovskiy performed a freestyle dance to Ben Rector’s “Brand New.” Watch the video below.
Hernandez was been on fire going into the finals of this season’s “Dancing With The Stars.” The Olympic gold medalist has received the most perfect scores this season, including two last week. And the audience and judges have loved her routines.
Earlier in the show, her redemption style paso doble was similarly met with tremendous praise. Bruno Tonioli exclaimed, “That was wicked in the best possible way.” Julianne Hough talked about how much she enjoyed watching Hernandez’s “growth” throughout the season. Len Goodman noted, “There was nothing in that dance I didn’t like.” And Carried Ann Inaba commended Hernandez for being “the most determined soul I’ve ever met.” For that routine, they earned a near perfect 38 out of 40 points.
For her second dance during the finals, a freestyle to Ben Rector’s “Brand New,” Goodman said, “I love it,” and “It was wonderful.” Tonioli added, “It was joyful.. You’re just fantastic!” Hough was blown away by it as well. And Inaba exclaimed, “You brought tears to my eyes.” She added, “You are so inspiring.” For their routine, Hernandez and Chmerkovskiy received a perfect 40 out of 40 points.
