Lauren Duski gave a beautiful performance of “Ghost In This House” for “The Voice” semifinals on Monday. Watch the video below.

Though there are still eight artists left in season 12, we’re already down to the second to last week of the NBC competition. Duski and the seven other contestants competed tonight for one of four spots in next week’s finale. The Team Blake member seemed to have a slot on lock from fairly early on in her run on the show. Most recently, Duski’s Wynonna Judd cover of “Tell Me Why” made her one of only two competitors to rank in the top 10 on the iTunes singles chart when voting closed last week.

Now for this critical broadcast, Duski and her coach Blake Shelton agreed she’d sing “Ghost In This House.” During rehearsal, the country superstar joked that the aspiring star is now more popular than he is. More seriously, he praised her “storytelling” abilities, and encouraged her to “sing out” and “turn up the power.” And she knew that, “one step away from the finale,” this is “the moment when I have to give it my all.”

And that she did. Adam Levine afterward praised Duski as “pure” and “genuine.” Shelton also stressed that his artist pulled off an “untouchable” country song. “What you just did is monumental, and country music fans, I can’t wait to see how they respond,” he told Duski. Check out the performance video below, as well as Duski’s duet with fellow country contestant Brennley Brown.
