Latest Robin Williams Rumor Is a Total Drag

Just because Robin Williams’ character Mrs. Doubtfire bore a resemblance to “Britain’s Got Talent” phenomenon Susan Boyle it does NOT mean that he will be playing her in a movie.

Still that didn’t stop the Daily Star, and a slew of other outlets, including IMDB and The Guardian, from reporting this. The Daily Star seriously wrote, “funnyman Robin Williams is being lined up to play Susan Boyle in a blockbuster movie of her life.” The paper even claimed Williams said, “I’ve been asked if I want to play Susan in the movie,” and that he “has been doing impressions of her by belting out her audition song I Dreamed A Dream” for celebrity friends.

Reps for Williams assure Gossip Cop this is completely made up, and they have no idea where this ridiculous rumor began.

Now if those media outlets reported he was slated to play Margaret Thatcher . . . that would be a whole different story.  Just kidding.
