Lamar Odom Does Not Have A Will
Lamar Odom reportedly doesn’t have a will.
Understandably, the issue has come up in recent days as Odom remains hospitalized in critical condition. As Gossip Cop reported, he was found unconscious and unresponsive at a Nevada brothel on Tuesday, following a suspected overdose. He spent the last few days in a coma, before briefly regaining consciousness on Friday.
Khloe Kardashian is still considered Odom’s next of kin as their divorce is not yet official, and is therefore responsible for making medical decisions. As for Odom’s finances, the former couple did have a prenuptial agreement, but not one that addressed disinheriting each other. So, with no will and legally still married, she would be entitled to one-third of his fortune as his current wife, based on California law.
Odom’s two children, Destiny and Lamar Jr., would be entitled to the remaining two-thirds. TMZ further reports that the kids and Kardashian are the beneficiaries of Odom’s multiple life insurance policies. It goes without saying, though, that everyone is hoping the health crisis does not reach such a point.
While there are signs of improvement, Odom is not yet fully awake, so doctors are not able to predict how meaningful of a recovery he may have. The family, of course, is still wishing for the best, including Kris Jenner, who asked fans on Friday night to keep praying. Gossip Cop will continue to have updates.
