Lamar Odom Hospitalized After Being Found Unconscious At Brothel
Lamar Odom is hospitalized with intubation after being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel on Tuesday. See statement below.
Odom, who has been largely living in Las Vegas, was partying at the infamous Love Ranch South in Pahrump, Nevada over the last few days, having arrived solo on Saturday. He was said to be hooking up with the women and aided by an herbal substitute for Viagra. It’s not known if he was taking other drugs.
But on Tuesday afternoon, Love Ranch owner Dennis Hof tells TMZ Odom was found unconscious in his VIP room, with “mucus-type liquid coming out of his nose and mouth.” He was rushed to the local hospital and intubated, apparently unable to breathe on his own. The Pahrump sheriff confirms he is now hospitalized in Las Vegas (see statement below).
Hof says he has not been permitted to be with Odom at the hospital since he is not family. Various reports have indicated that the situation is NOT good. Gossip Cop will have updates.
Odom was allegedly deep into drugs when he and Khloe Kardashian split more than a year ago. In July, the estranged spouses signed their divorce papers, though they have not been finalized by a judge yet. On a recent episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” filmed in June, Kardashian expressed her worry that Odom would “spiral” after the death of his childhood best friend, Jamie Sangouthai.
They were still in touch at the time, with Kardashian explaining that she would always care for him. In August, however, they had a run-in outside a gym, with Kardashian’s camp accusing Odom of essentially stalking her, while he claimed she was set-up. Kardashian has not yet commented on his hospitalization, but is expected to fly to Las Vegas to be by Odom’s bedside with Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner. Again, Gossip Cop will be updating.
At approximately 3:15 pm on October 13, 2015, a call came into the Nye County Dispatch Center from Richard Hunter, Media Director for Dennis Hof’s Bunny Ranch, requesting an ambulance for an unresponsive male experiencing a medical emergency at the Love Ranch in Crystal, Nevada, approximately twenty miles north of Pahrump, Nevada in Nye County.
An ambulance from Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Service arrived at 3:34 pm and the patient, identified as Lamar Odom was stabilized and transported to Desert View Hospital arriving at 4:16 pm. Nye County Sheriff’s Office Detectives Cory Fowles and Michael Eisenloffel arrived and conducted an investigation on scene.
After being treated by the physicians, arrangements were made to transport him by Mercy Air helicopter. However, Mr. Odom was unable to be transported by air due to his stature. He was immediately transported by Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Ambulance to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada for further treatment.
