Regardless of how you feel about Gaga as a musician, anyone who brings attention to bulemia/anorexia in an effort to help young people is good in my books. It’s a powerful message, way to go Gaga!

Gaga has always been beautiful and not just on the outside, she also has a beautiful heart. I’m so sick of the media taking a normal sized women and labeling them as fat. No one deserves it. Lady Gaga has never been “fat”, She has made it pretty clear that she has had eating disorders in the past, people who have never had an eating disorder do not understand how much of a slippery slope it can be to fall back into eating in a unhealthy way and thinking unhealthy thoughts about your body. The media should be ashamed of themselves. It is no wonder there are so many women out their punishing themselves because the media has put out the perception that if you have an ounce of fat on your body that you are not an attractive women. I’m proud of Gaga for standing up and showing the youth that there is nothing wrong with your body and nothing to be ashamed of.

Agreed! Just the other day I saw some of her fans on twitter saying how Demi locator is an “attention whore” for talking about all her issues…. YET now that their idol has gained weight and now they’re putting their foot in their mouths.

What good to society has Demi or Katy truly done for society? I’m sure they are an important part of their fan bases lives but you are fooling yourself if you think the majority of what they do isn’t for fame or promotion of their brand. Obviously, every artist does have to whore themselves out to an extent, otherwise they wouldn’t HAVE a fan base. At least Gaga has tried to do some good for society such as fighting for gay rights, creating an organization to fight bullying and now bringing attention to society’s body issues.

Personally, I think it’s great that Demi talked about it as well. Whatever convinces people to get help if they have the same disease is a good thing, no matter who says it.

I totally agree – and want to add that with a few more puonds whe looks way more healthy – aneroxie / bulimia are terrible and I hope her struggle is worth something

I’ve always felt that ‘bad romance’ was about a eating disorter. She looks like she has a healthy weight in these photos. Good for her.
