Lady Gaga ‘SNL’ Performance Of “A-Yo” – WATCH VIDEO
Lady Gaga sang “A-Yo” on this week’s “SNL.” The song is the third single she released off her new album Joanne. See the video below of Lady Gaga’s performance of “A-Yo” on “Saturday Night Live.”
This is the first time Lady Gaga has performed “A-Yo” on television. She previously sang the song for an audience in a Nashville dive bar and again on Thursday at New York’s famed The Bitter End.” Lady Gaga tweeted that the country pop song, with its lyrics “play it in your face” and “smokin’ em all,” is about blowing off haters.
This marks the fourth time Lady Gaga has been the musical guest on “SNL.” She made her debut in 2009 when Ryan Reynolds was the guest host. Lady Gaga returned two years later to perform when Justin Timberlake hosted “Saturday Night Live.” In 2013, Lady Gaga pulled double duty as the show’s guest host and musical performer. When she hosted, she most memorably was in a sketch in which she mocked her future, older self as a forgotten star, who wanted to be remembered, even by the superintendent in her apartment building.
There’s no video yet for “A-Yo,” but the audio since garnered 2.7 million view on YouTube since it was released on Tuesday. Similarly it has not charted yet on Billboard, having been relased only four days ago. To see Lady Gaga’s performance of “A-Yo” on “SNL,” check out of the video below.
