Lady Gaga had a special kissing partner when the clock struck midnight on New Year’s Eve.

The pop star planted a big smooch on New York City’s Mayor Michael Bloomberg, just after helping him drop the iconic crystal ball in Times Square.

Gaga and the Mayor, who selects a notable figure each year for the task, didn’t seem shy about having their lip-lock televised wordwide.

The big kiss followed Gaga’s performance on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.”

“I cant even quite describe what tonight felt like,” the singer tweeted after the festivities.

“Sort of poetic madness. A dream come true. Moments recalling a leather taking the subway.”

Gaga also shared her New Year’s resolution.

“Never be afraid to be kicked in the teeth,” she wrote. “Let the blood and the bruises define your legacy.”
