Lady Gaga Jimmy Fallon Video: Star Talks “American Horror Story” On “Tonight Show” (VIDEO)
Gaga’s appearance came one day before the premiere of “American Horror Story: Hotel,” which marks the singer’s first starring television role. She told Fallon she often watches horror films and was attracted to the series because “I love scary things,” adding that “dangerous things relax me.”
The singer said there are interesting themes of “addiction and survival” in this season of “American Horror Story: Hotel,” and that her character, who’s a vampire, must drink blood to survive. Gaga further said, “It’s great” doing the show, and it makes her “feel so alive.”
While she attained success as a singer, Gaga noted that she initially studied acting for 10 years in New York, specifically Method Acting. She told the “Tonight Show” host that she was a good actress, but was “awkward at auditions and couldn’t get a job,” so she pursued a career in music.
Gaga also talked about doing the Polar Plunge with Taylor Kinney (see photo above). As Gossip Cop previously reported, the engaged couple dove into Chicago’s freezing Lake Michigan earlier this year in support of the Special Olympics.
The singer told Fallon it’s an “amazing event,” but it was “so freezing cold.” Gaga reasoned that people with disabilities feel “uncomfortable all the times,” and while those who took the plunge were “uncomfortable for just a few minutes,” it’s a nice way of “showing compassion.”
Gaga’s history with Fallon’s “Tonight Show” goes back to the host’s very first episode. As Gossip Cop reported at the time, the singer was one of many stars to make a cameo on his historic debut broadcast. The next night, she returned to perform “Artpop.”
