WATCH: Lady Gaga’s Super-Serious, Creepy Ice Bucket Challenge Video
Lady Gaga filmed herself doing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and the resulting video is quite serious and very, um, creepy.
The pop star was nominated by JustJared’s Jared Eng, and Gaga quickly accepted, tweeting in reply, “You’re on @JaredEng I do that sh*t everyday after show. #IceBucketChallenge #AintNoThang #IceMeB*tch.”
Gaga went on to pledge a $10,000 donation to the ALS association, and said she would ice herself “to spread the word.”
“If 1 person is sick the whole world is. We are one body,” tweeted the singer.
She encouraged her fan base to take part as well, writing, “On behalf of @BTWFoundation in support of ALS I’d like to nominate all lil’ monsters. Please donate min $1 & ice ureself to spread the word!
“They were Born This Way, and need our love,” continued Gaga, adding the hashtags “#IceBucketChallenge #BTWfoundationLovesALS.”
Approximately 12 hours later, Gaga made good on her promise.
In a video posted Monday morning, the performer — in her new goth attire — silently dumps a big bowl of ice water on herself, showing absolutely no emotion or reaction whatsoever.
Like we said, creepy.
Gaga, by the way, also nominated “rich people” — Adele, Michael Rapino, Vincent Herbert, Arthur Fogel, Bobby Campbell, and the cast of “Chicago Fire” (which includes boyfriend Taylor Kinney) — to follow suit.
