Lady Gaga Halftime Show Video: Watch 2017 Super Bowl Performance!
Lady Gaga performed at the 2017 Super Bowl LI Halftime Show on Sunday. Check out the video below!
Gaga started on top of the NRG Stadium, where she sang “God Bless America.” She was then dropped to the stage, where she sang her hits, “Poker Face,” “Born This Way,” “Telephone,” and “Just Dance.” Gaga then sat at the piano, where she played “Million Reasons” and gave shoutouts to her parents. After a costume chance, the singer ended her halftime performance with a rousing rendition of “Bad Romance.”
As Gossip Cop reported, Gaga was first confirmed as the 2017 Super Bowl Halftime Show performer last September. Following the announcement, Gaga tweeted, “It’s not an illusion. The rumors are true. This year the SUPER BOWL goes GAGA! @nfl @FOXTV @pepsi #PERFECTILLUSION #GAGASUPERBOWL.” The exciting message immediately caused a stir on social media, with “#GAGASUPERBOWL” quickly becoming a trending topic on Twitter.
In a press conference this past Thursday, Gaga explained how her unique halftime show performance would represent “equality” and “inclusion.” “I believe in a passion for inclusion,” she said. “I believe in the spirit of equality, and the spirit of this country as one of love and compassion and kindness. So my performance will have both those philosophies.” During the Q&A, Gaga also revealed Tony Bennett would be taking part in the halftime show.
In the wake of the original announcement, Gossip Cop busted a number of inaccurate reports surrounding the big gig. Only days after Gaga was confirmed as the 2017 Super Bowl performer, we called out the National Enquirer for falsely alleging Gaga beat out Britney Spears for the halftime show job. And in addition to that bogus report, we also corrected HollywoodLife for wrongly claiming Katy Perry was helping Gaga before the show.
The pop star ended up putting on an amazing performance. Check out video of Gaga’s Super Bowl Halftime Show below!
