Lady Gaga Fans Attack Kelly Osbourne in Wake of Grammys Criticism

Lady Gaga fans have unloaded on Kelly Osbourne after the “Fashion Police” personality criticized Gaga for skipping the Grammy Awards red carpet.

The Twitter attacks began after Osbourne gave her commentary on the music event, at which Gaga made a relatively low-key appearance.

Osbourne said, “Being part of the music industry is walking the red carpet. You say hello to your fans and you give back to those reporters and those people who supported you. And when you go to an awards show and you don’t walk the red carpet, I find that disrespectful.”

Her comments unleashed a torrent of angry, threatening messages from Gaga’s fans, many of which Osbourne retweeted.

She summed up many of the missives, tweeting, “I have been told to die, suck d**k, get raped & that i look like i have aids by @ladygaga fans no wonder they get called bullies.”

Other Lady Gaga fans told Osbourne that she was “fat” and should “kill herself.”

Osbourne stressed that she has NO problem at all with Lady Gaga herself, writing at one point during the onslaught, “I love Gaga I’m a huge fan she is amazing… i just gave one opinion and people went nuts!”

The fashion commentator added, “I don’t label [Gaga's] entire fan base as bullies because i know they are not but some really are giving you guys a bad rep!”

Indeed, many of the tweets Osbourne reposted for her followers are filled with vile and menacing language.

“@ladygaga really has created monsters. w/ every nasty unjustified tweet u send me u shame your queen. hate [is] not what @ladygaga is about!” wrote Osbourne on Friday.

Kelly likes to run her mouth before she gets the full story. She called Gaga disrespectful because she didn’t walk the red carpet at the Grammys before learning why Gaga skipped the red carpet. The reason Gaga skipped the red carpet was because she a) was lying low and b) showing her respects to the late Whitney Houston. She didn’t want to make a big fuss of her entrance because she has respect and it just wasn’t the time to do it. People would have called her a disrespectful attention whore if she would have arrived in an extravagant way. What Kelly also doesn’t know is that after the Grammys ceremony, Gaga rushed out of the arena, stopped in the middle of traffic, and got out of her car to greet with her fans. The reporters on the red carpet are not the people who support her, the fans are. You can say a lot about Gaga, but don’t act as if she disrespects her fans because that woman loves her fans more than any other celebrity.

I see nothing wrong with Kelly Osbourne voicing her OPINION. It is just that, an opinion. As a performer, I agree with Ms Osbourne – if you are up for an award, you are up for it because of the fan support, and I feel you SHOULD do the red carpet walk to acknowledge them. I am a fan of neither one of these celebs. I feel when a celeb doesn’t want to walk the red carpet, other celebs and people should respect that without being called out in public about it. The only issue I have with this is that Kelly is dragging Gaga into it and making the whole fanbase look bad. Yes, it is technically the fan’s fault since they are the one’s insulting, but Kelly is doing nothing to stop it. By responding and pushing them further, she’s making them reply. If she had just logged off Twitter for a few hours and completely disregarded the comments, this whole thing would have ended so quickly. It seemed to me that she was almost milking it… like she ENJOYED being hated on. Bullies can only bully if you allow them to. Bullies want to get a rise out of you and if you retaliate, they are gonna keep going. Sometimes you just have to rise above it and let is pass.

It is not right of her to say “Gaga has really created monsters” No. She hasn’t. Gaga has some amazing and wonderful fans and these number of idiots do not represent the Gaga community. As a huge Gaga fan, I am hurt by her comments because I am not a hateful person and would never in a million years say such terrible things.
