Lady Gaga Collaborating With Selena Gomez?
“Selena Gomez & Lady Gaga Making ‘Inspirational’ Music Together After Her AMAs Speech,” reads the headline of an “exclusive” from HollywoodLife, which writes, “We are so excited that Selena Gomez is back in the picture and even more thrilled to find out that the singer has been in talks with none other than Lady Gaga about collaborating and teaming up to make ’empowering’ music together.”
The outlet goes on to state, “Selena Gomez, 24, and Lady Gaga, 30, teaming up on a song? You read it here first!” Of course, typically when HollywoodLies has something “first,” it’s usually made up. And here the site quotes an “insider” as saying, “Selena and Lady Gaga really bonded at the American Music Awards. Lady Gaga was so moved by Selena’s speech, that they have kept in touch ever since. They have spoken about collaborating on a song dedicated to empowering and inspiring young people worldwide.”
“They have actually become quite close in a rather short period of time. Selena is only surrounding herself with super positive and healthy people, and the same goes for Gaga,” continues the supposed source, who alleges, “They really want to create something epic together.”
But Gossip Cop is exclusively told that no such plans are actually in the works. In fact, one contact we spoke with ripped the webloid for seemingly just guessing about a collaboration simply because of Gaga and Gomez’s AMAs run-in. But in reality, Gaga just released a slew of new music, and has her hands full with prepping for the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
A collaboration with Gomez isn’t happening right now. Of course, it’s hardly a surprise that the bad blog got this one wrong. After all, it was Gomez herself who once famously said, “HollywoodLife is never true. Ever.”
