Lady Gaga to Co-Host “The View”

Lady Gaga will join Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd as a co-host on “The View” on August 1, the show’s executive producer Bill Geddie announced today.

The singer will sit with the other hosts and weigh in during two segments of “Hot Topics.”

Gaga will also perform her song, “You and I.”

Her appearance kicks off the last week of the hit talk show’s 14th season.

    Name an artist that isn’t influenced by others? Do you hear every single artist naming their influences Why should she when it’s abundantly clear in her songs? This is no reason to knock her.She is a defining pop cultural influence for the new generation. What Madonna did in the 80′s, she is doing now. She has admitted to wanting to revolutionise pop music as Madonna did. Can’t deny that she’s done that.
