Lady Gaga and Her Ex-Boyfriend Drop Their Lawsuits Against Each Other

“Bad Romance” singer Lady Gaga seems to have had a good breakup with her former co-writer and one-time boyfriend Rob Fusari.

Back in March, Lady Gaga and Fusari filed lawsuits against each other, but now they’ve agreed to dismiss their respective cases.

Fusari was seeking $30.5 million, having claimed Gaga dumped him professionally after he co-wrote such songs as the megahit “Paparazzi,” as well as created her stage name and helped her secure a record deal.

According to Fusari’s suit, he met Gaga (then Stefani Germanotta) in a recording studio back in 2006. They then began a romantic and professional relationship.

After both relationships went south, Fusari alleged that Lady Gaga didn’t pay him the money he claimed he was owed, including 20 percent of her royalties.

Fusari said he was paid $611,00, but was due a ton more cash.

Lady Gaga’s lawyers argued that Fusari acted more as an agent, and had her sign a bad deal back in 2006. Her suit wanted the court to void the “unlawful arrangement,” which Gaga’s side called “predatory.”

But today, the singer and Fusari, who has also worked with Destiny’s Child and Will Smith, are singing a different tune.

They’ve dropped their respective lawsuits.

A rep for Lady Gaga would not disclose the terms of the settlement, and only noted: “Lady Gaga and Rob Fusari have agreed to end their dispute amicably and wish each other well. There will be no further comment by either of them.”

Still, Gaga’s rep added interestingly, “Rob Fusari is a Grammy award winning producer and co-writer of Paparazzi and a number of other songs on Lady Gaga’s debut album The Fame.”
