I know music – but more importantly, I know what I like and what I think has value. And for me – she has no value – as a musician or otherwise. You don’t have to like it, but you should be mature enough to respect other peoples’ right to have a different opinion without having to put them down.

If she is getting rich from this crap that she puts out – good for her. And we know that she is. Then she can afford a coat that isn’t made from animal fur. And she doesn’t need to trash her assistant and tell the world that she, Gaga is queen of the universe. It’s egocentric BS.

And you, hiatus, need to grow up a little and understand that everyone doesn’t need to agree with you. If you think she’s a great singer – then for you she is. For me, she sucks – as a human being and as a musician. It’s okay for us to disagree. But you don’t need to get nasty and tell me sarcastically how I should try to make myself relevant. That’s mean-spirited and unnecessary. It doesn’t bother me, but it shows you as unable to tolerate it when others don’t agree with you.

She DOES write good songs. Songs like Bad Romance were conceptually original; a classic pop record. It was anchored in counter-culture themes and focused around the destructive nature of desire, exploring the Freudian animalistic drives towards sex and death. She doesn’t have to preach anything to write a good song, instead she puts in Alfred Hitchcock references to describe the darkness of the human psyche.

She also DOES perform well live. In most of her songs on tour she dances in 10-inch heels, running around wherever she wants to. And when she falls, she always gets back up (VMA 2011 performance with Brian May, The Houston Monster Ball performance where she hit her head on the piano, BTW Ball Auckland when a heavy metal pole hit her head, and recently how she’s been performing despite leprosy causing inflammation in the ligaments in her hips In other times, just some examples)

Other times she’s sitting down singing live better than in the studio. Look up her performances of Hair, Captivated, Livin on the Radio, Princess Die, Speechless, any thanksgiving performance, or any acoustic performance, for that matter. Some examples

And she’s horrible at marketing herself, but then again, it’s not her fault. It’s always her label that’s choosing the most commercial songs in her albums for release, so now she looks more pretentious and self-righteous than her stuff are cut out to be. She writes ballads more than dance numbers, and these are more worth listening than the singles she’s pushing out.

But you chose to judge her based on what she wears and the commercial stuff she’s put out there. So it’s funny how you’re so quick to judge, even as a musician. But I do agree with you that you can save so much time by just judging people like that. But maybe it’s about time for you to write interesting and conceptually original music to make yourself appear more relevant, instead of criticizing someone who’s laughing all the way to the bank.

Anyway, Gaga writes and produces songs for herself and other artists. She is the creative producer at Polaroid, designs clothes for her tour, sings well, performs live, acts, plays the piano and guitar and has full control over her own career, so she very well deserves every penny that she’s earned. She also engages very actively in LGBT activism and does philanthropy when she’s free, so there’s that extra revenue from publicity.

And by the way, Terry Richardson did take photos of O’Neil playing Tetris in the tour bus.

As a fan of Gaga, my accounts of her were plenty. I’ve seen O’Neil walk around backstage and join her in dinners ever since The Fame Ball Tour.

Let’s isolate the quote out so you can remove your Gaga glasses and read it again. She didn’t say O’Neill played Tetris, she said the job requirement isn’t as easy as punching in playing Tetris and punching out (reading between the lines much Me?). So, you want talk about twisting words. You flat out put words in Gaga’s mouth. And like I said in my original post O’Neill isn’t an angel either. But, how ‘lady like’ Gaga explained it O’Neill did things she shouldn’t have done yet kept her on anyway. So, really Gaga is the idiot for keeping useless people on board.

In cases like this, who’s right or wrong is irrelevant, really. It’s about perceptions and behavior. And Little Gaga did herself absolutely no favors. If I had been her former employee, I’d be practically dancing with glee.

But with that said, peopl know what they’re getting into when they take a job for her.
