Lady Gaga to Deck the Halls of Upscale New York Department Store Barneys

It may only be August, but Lady Gaga is already claiming her stake to Christmas!

The singer will be designing her own take on Santa’s workshop this year for the upscale New York Department store Barneys, which is famous for its Christmas window display.

Gaga and her creative team will decorate an entire floor at the retailer’s flagship Madison Avenue store, beginning mid-November.

Barneys will also sell a special collection of Gaga’s workshop items, with 25% of proceeds going to the charity of her choice.

Gaga’s team of “elves” includes artists Eli Sudbrack and Christophe Hamaide Pierson, and Thierry Mugler label director Nicola Formichetti.

    I know a lot of people like/love Lady Gaga, but I just think she’s weird. And I have a hard time imagining this woman – who has worn shoes with heels that look like a dildo – having enough class to decorate something like a Christmas Window Display with any semblance of good taste…

    But apparently, we shall see.

    Personally, I think it’s just a stint, using her controversial personality to bring in curious “looky-loos” in an attempt to rake in more money. I understand that this is a generally acceptable way to drum up business, I guess I just have a problem with having her connected with a holiday like Christmas.
