Ellen DeGeneres ‘La La Land’: Watch Ryan Gosling Spoof Video
Ellen DeGeneres spoofed Ryan Gosling’s La La Land on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show.” On Wednesday, DeGeneres revealed “exclusive” behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the movie, which hilariously featured the talk show host. Check out the clip below!
Before sharing the “exclusive” footage, DeGeneres noted, “They just released a behind-the-scenes trailer, and it turns out Emma Stone was not their first choice.” In the parody video, which employed clever editing, DeGeneres got swept up in Gosling’s arms before planting a kiss on his cheek. The film’s writer and director, Damien Chazelle, could then be heard talking about the onscreen chemistry between the pair. “When we were casting up the movie, part of the appeal to me was that you know they’re going to be a couple. You can see them and imagine them together.” “The classic Hollywood screen couple,” said Chazelle, sending the audience into a fit of laughter as Gosling gazed into the host’s eyes.
The film’s producer, Marc Platt, said he admired the connection between Gosling and his “costar.” “You have two actors who have an onscreen chemistry that I think is one for the ages,” expressed the producer. DeGeneres further inserted herself into the film, staring at Gosling while she wore a glamorous purple dress, imitating Stone’s look in the movie. At the end of the spoof video, Chazelle noted, “To get the chance to work with both of them is just a complete dream come true.”
The talk show host then told her cheering audience, “I shouldn’t have dropped out.” Check out the spoof La La Land video below on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show”!
