L.A. Reid: “Biggest Mistake” Was Not Signing Lady Gaga, She Was “Disgusting”

L.A. Reid is confessing to having just one regret from his storied music career: rejecting Lady Gaga!

During an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Wednesday, Reid explains that he was initially impressed when he first met the then-unknown singer, and even told her, “You are going to change music.”

But when he heard Gaga’s demo tape two months later, courtesy of an A & R rep, Reid not only didn’t remember her, he was totally turned off by her sound.

“I said, ‘You know what? This is disgusting,’” he recalls, “and I dropped her and I dropped him.”

He tells DeGeneres, “It was the biggest mistake I ever made in my life.”
