Kylie Rothfield “The Voice” Knockout Video: Watch “Hound Dog” Performance!
Kylie Rothfield sang “Hound Dog” during “The Voice” Knockouts on Monday. Check out the video below!
As Gossip Cop reported, Rothfield was recovering from a vocal hemmorage when she auditioned for “The Voice.” Despite concerns that her throat wasn’t ready for the comeback, she made it onto Team Alicia. And then, as seen just last week, Rothfield won her Battle round face-off against Josh Halverson, who was later stolen by Miley Cyrus.
For that, Rothfield and Halverson had to duet together on the same song. Now for the Knockouts, the songstress could pick her own track, but would be paired against Whitney and Shannon, the sisters who had Alicia Keys excited from the start. During rehearsals, key advisors Tim McGraw and Faith Hill gave Rothfield guitar advice, and told her to keep the performance “swampy.” “Don’t back down,” Keys further told her.
Whitney and Shannon, meanwhile, chose to sing “I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz, and were stunned to find out they’d be competing against “best friend” Rothfield. The latter’s gritty performance seemed to go over much better with the panel than the siblings’ ballad. Miley Cyrus said afterward, “Kylie, there is no one like you on this show.”
And Keys apparently agreed, as she chose Rothfield as the Knockout’s winner. Watch below!
