Kylie Jenner Hired As Puma Spokesperson, Despite Kanye West’s Denial
Kylie Jenner has been hired as Puma’s spokesperson for its Spring/Summer women’s training campaign, despite Kanye West tweeting last week, “1000% there will never be a Kylie Puma anything.” The rapper, of course, has a major deal with rival company Adidas for his Yeezy sneakers.
In a statement, the sneak brand said, “Kylie represents a fresh and exciting new era for fashion and we couldn’t think of a more fitting and influential female to headline this campaign for PUMA.” Jenner’s contract with Puma will likely not sit well with West, who as Gossip Cop reported, went on a Twitter rant last week when the rumors about his sister-in-law’s deal first emerged.
After insisting that Jenner’s association with the sneaker company would “1000%” never happen, West added, “That’s on my family! 1000% Kylie is on Yeezy team!!!” Jenner is rumored to be getting paid seven figures to represent the brand, but West, who’s in debt for $53 million, went on to assert that even if the deal was made, “We gone give [Puma] your measly million dollars back!!! Never try to divide the family!!!”
It should be noted, Jenner walked the runway last year for West’s Adidas show to promote his Yeezys sneakers. West has yet to tweet his response to this latest development, but Gossip Cop will update as soon as the rapper breaks his silence.
