Kylie Jenner, Justin Bieber Tweet Is FAKE
As Gossip Cop reported, Bieber deleted his Instagram account early Tuesday morning. The decision came after several days of hate directed towards him and gal pal Sofia Richie, with many of the superstar’s own fans turning on him. In fact, “#JustinDeactivatedParty” became the top trending topic both in the U.S. and worldwide as some actually celebrated his departure.
And many thought Jenner was celebrating, too. A screengrab of a tweet purportedly sent by the reality star was shared over and over again, with people assuming she had joined in on dragging the singer, despite their years-long friendship. The snarky message read, “well, I guess that makes me the 5th most followed person on Instagram.”
The tweet was interpreted as Jenner mocking Bieber’s Instagram exit, and gloating over moving up in the rankings of celebs with the most followers. There’s just one big problem: She never sent the tweet. It’s not real.
The message was brought to Jenner’s attention after hundreds, if not thousands, of people retweeted the accounts passing it around as authentic. It prompted one person to write to her, “Oh @KylieJenner you did not!” She responded, “Yeah I actually didn’t. It’s fake.”
This isn’t the first time a photoshopped social media message has plagued Bieber in recent days. As Gossip Cop reported, several of the comments said to be part of Bieber and Selena Gomez’s Instagram fight were also fake.
