Krysten Ritter Demanding “Outrageous” Paycheck For ‘Jessica Jones’?
Krysten Ritter is NOT demanding an “outrageous” amount of money to return for another season of “Jessica Jones,” despite a fabricated tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this story. We’re told there’s “no truth” to it.
According to Star, Netflix executives are in a tough spot because the leading lady of their hit superhero show “Jessica Jones” supposedly wants an unreasonable raise. A so-called “insider” tells the tabloid, “She wants way more than what anyone else is getting.”
The magazine then goes on to claim that Ritter is developing a major ego and is difficult on set. “People dread working with Krysten,” alleges the tabloid’s questionable source. “If something doesn’t go her way, she’ll storm off and hold up shooting.” The outlet’s dubious insider adds, “She’s the ultimate diva, but producers feel like replacing her would disrupt the popularity of the show.”
“Jessica Jones” was actually renewed for a second season just this week, and so even if parts of tabloid’s story were remotely true, the supposed drama has already been settled. However, there isn’t anything the least bit accurate about the report, making it both late and wrong.
Gossip Cop checked in with a source involved in the production, who laughed off the tabloid’s tale before assuring us there is simply “no truth” to the claims. In fact, Gossip Cop recently corrected Star’s sister publication, OK!, for publishing a similarly false story about Ritter displaying “demanding and temperamental antics” while filming. At the time, a production source assured us, “She has a fantastic relationship with the producers and there were no issues on set.” Nothing has changed in the time since.
