Kristen Wiig and Leslie Jones are not having an “epic feud” on the set of the new Ghostbusters reboot, despite a completely made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told there’s “zero truth” to it.

According to Star, “Saturday Night Live” alum Wiig irritated Jones, a “SNL” newbie, by acting like a “queen bee” on the set of their upcoming movie. A so-called “insider” tells the tabloid, “[Kristen] would lecture Leslie on how to play a scene; you could tell Leslie wanted to explode.”

The magazine then goes on to claim that co-star Melissa McCarthy refused to take sides in this supposed conflict, but Jones’ fellow “SNL” cast member Kate McKinnon, who also plays one of the new Ghostbusters, fully supported her. The magazine’s dubious insider says, “Leslie and [Kate] formed a really tight bond and froze out Kristen.”

It’s odd that the tabloid has all of a sudden discovered there was an “epic feud” on the Ghostbusters set because, despite this story being written in the present tense, the movie wrapped filming back in September. Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Wiig, who assures us the four leading ladies had a great time making the movie together, and there’s “zero truth” to the tabloid’s story.

Gossip Cop corrected Star’s sister publication, OK!, just last week for also trying to paint Wiig as a bitter comedienne who resents her peers. The tabloid claimed that Wiig was jealous of Amy Schumer’s increasing success and set out on “a mission to unseat” her as the “funniest woman in Hollywood.” As with this alleged Ghostbusters drama, the story was completely fabricated.
