Here’s the thing, on the one hand she talks about how much she cares about her career and the fans and on the other hand she says she doesn’t give a s**t! Which is it Kristen? Rob spoke much more eloquently on your behalf than you have about yourself. You made some mistakes in past interviews and now that’s being used to portray you in a certain light with the red carpet photos chosen to be shown of you. Of course, it’s not just about the red carpet where you admit your awkward as well as award shows, interviews, etc. It’s part of your job, and an important part at that, to market the movies and yourself. You looked phenomenal this past spring on the red carpet, and didn’t have awkward photos shown of you. You stopped slouching and showed the confidence Rob says he sees every day from you. The press was starting to turn in your favor, Snow White was coming out and you have a lot riding on its success (with a strong first weekend box office to boot), and you turn around and give this interview! I’m sure you’re a great person as evidenced by how much the people who work with you like you, but you really need to exercise some patience with turning your image and stop giving interviews like this. Just call past interviews a mistake and say it’s frustrating because it’s created a misperception about you, stop the cursing and whining and move forward with grace and elegance (better yet, stop talking about the problem period). You keep doing these types of interviews, and you will keep seeing the media pick your worst and most awkward photos for the red carpet round up and will shorten the life of the career you say you care so much about. And Kristen, do note that when your employer pays you millions of dollars to work for them and asks you to smile more, just smile and don’t complain about it – it’s not a big request on their part.

very well said! I don’t think she’s a bad actress, but after hearing her talk and the content from her interviews, it’s difficult to truly like this girl.

How is Kristen telling her true feelings on the papz and tabloids endless scrunity of her looks considered a bad attitude. Kristens brutal honesty is one of the many reasons her fans admire her. She is true to herself and her beliefs and she will not change that to please anyone. Kristen says what other actors are too afraid to say. She’s not like the typical hollywood starlets who can’t think or speak for themselves and do or say what the studio tells them to.

I am a fan of hers, she does say a few things that make me want to eyeroll, because the person who posted that if the studio wants her to smile more she should kind of thing I agree with, but even so. I am a fan. And the girl can act (not in Twilight movies apparently) but if you ever saw her in the Runaways, she left no doubt in my mind what she is capable of as an actress. And truthfully it must have sucked not just being in the spotlight at such a young age but being hated by an entire country of tween-teen-mom-girls because of who her boyfriend was. so, all in all, I think she has done well, and I think she will be around for everyone to complain about for a long time :-)

Finally! A good photo shoot where she doesn’t have all that dark crap on her she looks stunning g and beautiful on the cover. The paparazzi is a part of fame. I don’t wish her ill, but I don’t like her and I don’t want to hear her whine about the paparazzi when it’s always been that way. Fame comes at a price.

An actor’s contract usually specifies what they need to do for the studio or production company making a picture. One is to act in the film and the other is to do promotions, unless it says otherwise, smiling, brooding, bad language is not part of the the contract unless possibly you are making a family film or religious movie. I think what people confuse is an actor’s personal life and their movie career. Unless you are on the red carpet you do not know how these people have to deal with these photographers, especially now, with the internet and the mass media, it is horrible. You can hear these idiots calling them to turn this way and that way, and step forward, turn your head, it is really amazing to see it actually in real life. I would be giving them numerous middle fingers, but they keep their composure quite in check considering the rude behavior these photographers exhibit. As for swearing, many actors swear in show business, I have been on sets and you can’t believe the amount of swearing that takes place. Maybe in time when she becomes a mother or maybe not at all, she may lose some of it. Give her credit for her quitting smoking, which is extremely hard to do. Look, she is a good actress, what she does in her private life, if it is not hurting no one personally, is her business. When she is on a soundstage, she is getting paid to do a job and we as fans who watch the byproduct. We can express our displeasure if she does not smile or does not give the answer we think she should give, but that will not keep me from viewing her movies, because if she acts good in the movie, that is all I as a fan should ask for then I am quite happy and don’t give a fig about what she does in her personal life, smiling, smoking, drinking, shagging, middle finger, etc., just as long as it hurts no one personally, it is her life to lead and I like that intergrity in her and others that stick to what they believe in. Considering the fact that they live together, how does Rob not act like a real boyfriend? They are seen out on dates in LA, the visit each other on movie sets, and Rob had no problem being openly affectionate at Cannes. Rob is promoting a movie, and it’s not only rude to Rob, but to his co-stars when an interviewer asks Rob about his personal life or Twilight while promoting a non Twilight movie.

Won’t step up in public? Apparently you haven’t seen photos from Montreal, London, Paris, NYC (WFE premiere), LA, and Cannes. They act like a couple all the time. That includes going out together, hanging with their friends, living together, visiting eachother’s movie sets, supporting eachother’s movies. There are multiple photos of them holding hands and kissing but you nonnies ignore them. Then you turn around and say that they don’t act like a couple. Seriously?

They can’t win with you. If they suck face on the street it’s PR. If they aren’t affectionate, they don’t act like a couple. If they do kiss and hold hands discretely its still PR. Or he’s drunk like you nonnies want everyone to believe.

Face it, they aren’t going to give details of their private life together. Rob has said enough on the subject. He clearly stated that he wouldn’t be in a relationship for PR. And Kristen just talked about how they didn’t do what Summit wanted. Summit isn’t controlling them. And obviously they aren’t just fwb since they are only ever photographed together.

Just because a couple doesn’t shove their love in your face doesn’t mean they aren’t together. Rob has talked about how amazing she is and how special she is to him. Everyone can clearly see they are together. He doesn’t need to shout it from the rooftops.

She is more persecuted than other actors due to bad reactions. Many famous actors arrived to Cannes and no one had their behavior, some actors even found ways to get there without being seen. Cannes paps are everywhere, are authorized. She arrived and inmediately flipped the bird … other times shouting “f ** k”, saying “I hate you” … Of course her will be pursued and booed. She isn’t so smart to give the paparazzi what they want.

I totally agree with his comment in the article. I see so many photos of her smiling but what do the print, it’s the one where she is distracted and not smiling.

I saw SWATH and enjoyed it. I have also read many articles, where Kristen, Charlize, and the others actors work was praised. Most of the articles that had any negative comments were about the direction. She doesn’t have a bad attitude. Everyone who works with her has had only praise for her work ethic. And…if KStew has her own PR person, well that’s only good business sense. As far as anyone still doubting that they are a couple, nothing will convince you, but if you look objectively at the evidence, it’s pretty you would not deny that they are in a relationship. And the evidence started much earlier than Cannes. If you read the entire article, the interviewer was very positively impressed with Kristen.

The problem with have only sections of articles printed, is that people don’t get the full picture. Actually the video was very nice and the interviewer was very positively impressed. When she talked about the photo of her with Michael sitting on the front steps of her house, she was demonstrating that from that photo people had false, preconceived notions of her that were not true and that’s what she is really complaining about. She must be a better actress than anyone thinks, because when she portrays a character, people think that she is that character, which totally demonstrates that she’s is pretty convincing.

For some reason the nonstens think that Kristen is the only actor to ever educated privately by a tutor. Even the HP kids had tutors on set so they didn’t have to go to school.

@Annabella- Emma isn’t at Oxford now, she’s in LA filming. She’s taking some time off. Hopefully she will go back once it’s finished. I agre with you, education is a bonus but it’s not required. Kristen is in the fast lane in her career. It would be hard to work on multiple movies and still go to school.

This is a discussion of KS, not a comparison of KS to other actresses. However, since you opened that gate, Jennifer Lawrence graduated high school two years early to pursue acting full time and Emma Watson graduated and is making the attempt to complete her college degree. KS doesn’t compare favorably to these two in the education department. There is a big difference between talking about studying literature in college and actually doing it.

I like her as an actress and don’t like her as a person. She gets millions of dollars from the people whom she calls “f*****g crazy”. She forgets that she’s indebted to that people for everything she has. I know why many of them hate her: because of her lie. She doesn’t want to tell the truth everybody wants to know, warming interest to herself, and people become more curious and intrusive, that angers her even more. “Snow White and the Huntsman” (125 min, Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action, and brief sensuality). Rating: EXCEPTIONAL

So what’s wrong with being different? Aren’t most critics sick and tired of seeing the same old thing over and over again? I know I am. That’s why this re-imagined version of “Snow White” feels like an original take on the classic fairytale. Yes it is dark and foreboding, but so is 90% of “The Lord of the Rings” and countless other classic tales. The key is that the filmmakers established a tone and thematic approach, and didn’t waver from it. Respected British TV commercial director Rupert Sanders makes a similar splash to movies that Ridley Scott did in 1979’s “Alien.” Funny that Scott has returned to his sci-fi roots with “Prometheus.”

Everyone knows the Brothers Grimm story about how an evil queen (Ravenna), has banished her stepdaughter to the Dark Forest only to send a huntsman after her to cut her heart out. A magic mirror has proclaimed that Snow White is the fairest of them all, which enrages the vain, insecure queen. She sucks the life out of not only her subjects to maintain her skin-deep beauty, but has sent her kingdom into rot and despair. Snow, with the aid of the Huntsman who has become fond of the young princess, aims to defeat the vile queen and ascend the throne as its rightful heir.

Of course the story is far more complex, and with some twists and turns in the script, this unusually dark version of the classic story is probably closer to the real story than any previous adaptation. For its artistry and craftsmanship alone, it is a triumph. But it is also a triumph of the human spirit in a battle between light and dark, good and evil. In this version, Snow, played by Kristen Stewart, brings her melancholy, sullen moodiness to the character perfectly as the righteous avenger. She is a troubled soul locked away in the castle tower for years, only to escape and find not only her inner strength, but find those who have been loyal to the memory of her slain father (by the queens hands). Ravenna, played by Charlize Theron, dominates the screen with her malevolent persona, bringing new meaning to the word “evilness.”

The story follows the classical lines of a hero fighting for what is rightfully theirs. In a macho, mature role, this Snow White must wield a sword and be resourceful to lead her people against the evil forces that have entrapped her kingdom. The queen, meant to illicit some sympathy for accepting her curse to crave immortal beauty, will stop at nothing to suck the life out of Snow who is her main threat, and secure her stranglehold over the land. The Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) may have his drawbacks as a drunken hunter, but in short order becomes Snow’s main ally – and protector. Down to the poison red apple and the kiss that awakens her from a death sleep, “Snow White and the Huntsman” leaves you with an indelible impression.

Yes, there are some incomplete back-stories to the Queen, Huntsman and even those rascally dwarfs (eight of them), but their omission is minor given that the focus is on the conflict between Snow and the Queen – and Snow and the Huntsman. To layer the storylines deeper would have diluted its narrative flow. If not for the unlikable dwarfs (Bob Hoskins, Ian McShane, Toby Jones, Ray Winstone, Nick Frost and Eddie Marsan) – and some choppy editing during action sequences – this film would surely be on my Top 10. It surpasses my highest expectations.

LAST NOTE: In its purest sense, “Snow White and the Huntsman” is an original – not a remake, reboot, prequel or sequel…and doesn’t feature any comic book superheroes. Hooray!

Oh yeah, like these younger girls don’t already hear the swearing and everything else at home, at school, around their neighborhoods, etc. It isn’t a new concept. the basic concepts of right and wrong (whatever those may be – LOL) should be taught at HOME. And seriously? swearing makes you lose respect? I would rather her do that in abundance than..let’s see…make a sex tape and have it publicized, date everything in pants, get caught stealing, have multiple court dates and STILL not get your life straight, talk insane trash about other people, spend millions on a wedding that was a farce… there are so many other things that she could to lose people’s “respect”. But she doesn’t. The end.

I think she deserves all the crit. If somebody doesn’t love her, it’s her fault. The more she scolds critics, the more criticism it receives.

I prefer my position than yours: worshiping a lousy actress mediocre, vulgar and pothead. I dont know if KStew cultivate her own weed in her garden, but if she buys her drug through a dealer, the reality is that every time she or someone else in the world will light a pipe, a child falls in drug trafficking, other goes to prison, or is killed in a Rio slum or LA’s ghetto. smoking marijuana to have a cool air during a public event and make the media talk about her and delight her fans, is an act of stupidity and weakness of character.

Loved the article, but the question i have is about the adorable little Pom she posed with! Whats his/her name? I wonder how Kristen liked working with the small little fuzzball since Bear is bigger.

If you call friends with benefits being in a relationship, then yes, I think they hang out together when it suits them and go about their business the rest of the time. If she wants to think he’s her “boyfriend,” then that’s her business. Most boyfriends don’t act the way Rob does, that’s all. They actually admit they’re dating and want people to know about it.

I believe it’s not because of Rob or their relationship. I know there’re always some insane people who will hate without any reason, but they are few. And she has a lot of haters, and you’re right – most of them are Rob’s fangirls.

They hate her, because they love Rob, they are deeply in love with him and they care about him. They realize that none of them can be with him, but they wish that he has a good girlfriend.

In the begining, Kristen said in an interview, that she has a long relationship with her boyfriend Mike and that it’s very important to her, and how much it hurts her, that everybody thinks she dates Rob. At that time they both concealed their relationship, but it was clear that they were together. Many Rob’s fangirls wrote letters to her in which they claimed her a cheater.

And that’s why they hate her. They don’t want Rob to be with a cheater, because they think she doesn’t deserve to be loved by him. And this is her fault.

But instead of accept this fact calmly, she has been screwing her haters up in the interviews for a while, with the use of profanity. How sweet…

And if she doesn’t give a s**t, why to ever bother to make a statement that she doesn’t give a s**t?

Wow. Sure. Keep on judging people whom you do not know. Yes. She smoked pot. Big deal. Everyone makes a mistake, but the paps and the haters are making an elephant of a fly here. Even Kirsten said that she learned from it. If you have read the article more carefully than you woulda known that the paps (and even the trolls) twists her words to make her look bad. Wait.
