I would think that they must have a lot in common and are pretty compatible, considering they’ve been together for four years. He probably felt this relationship is worth saving. If he was not happy with her, he could have left. They are not married and have no children. Nothing and no one is forcing him to stay.

Me too, although I think that the Twilight series was a phenomena, which won’t be repeated again for Rob & Kristen, & the rest of the cast. Many A-list actors do films that get much less attention, but this is more the norm. I just think that the Twilight saga was one of those blockbuster franchises that come along every now & again, & the cast chosen get lucky. Although unexpected by the actors at the beginning, the saga propelled them prominently into the spotlight, & have given them more opportunities. I know you don’t agree with me :-) , but I hope Kristen has success too, & returns to making the smaller budget indie films that I liked so much.

My hubby cheated–real cheating, not just a kiss and a hug, for a couple of years, not an afternoon, and yes, it was public–as public and humilliating, in our little world, as Rob and Kirsten’s trouble has been, in the wider world.. I retalliated and almost married someone else, and for a while it was a godawful soap opera–but that was more than thirty years ago. When we got back together, we forgave and moved on very quickly. Neither of us ever looked at anyone else again. Neither of us looks back. He’s retired now, and we actually have time for each other, which we never had before, and it is just not just 100% OK, it is just wonderul. You don’t have to live a life of suspicion and recriminations. Forgiveness can work and it can be complete.

Hollywood Life and Life and Style do have terrible track records when it comes to entertainment gossip, no doubt about it. BUT, there are a lot more than just those 2 sites reporting a break up happening right after the Golden Globes. Having said that, as others pointed out, every time one of them is away on a film set these rumors start. The only difference is that this is the first time one of them is on location after the cheating scandal broke and there may be lingering trust issues on both their parts which could change the situation a bit. Who knows? Rob and Kristen would certainly never make a confirmation of either being together or broken up so I guess bottom line is I wouldn’t call this a 0, but I wouldn’t give it higher than a 1 or 2 either.
