She said no kids, her dogs were her kids. Then she turned 28 and kids were all she could think about. So at 28 and 32 they had their first baby. They now have two girls 12 and 15 years old. Kristen has definitively been doing great with all the promos after the scandal. She has shown the right balance of seriousness and funny because she has both sides in her. In Toronto and NY for On the Road she was more serious because the occasion called for it. She was doing panels, Qs and As, and sit down interviews with her director, producers and costars on a more serious movie so she handled it accordingly. Now, for Twilight she has been funny and more relax because Twilight is a fantasy story, the fans are younger, and her appearances have been at day and night time entertainment-type shows wherein funny is expected. She is fantastic, and I so look forward to her new projects.

I don’t understand why everyone is being pissy over this interview. They are absolutely not being private about their relationship. We have seen way more pictures of them together in the last month or so than we ever did before she cheated. They obviously have no problem with people knowing so why are you guys pissed because she was asked? My guess is if she answered the question and confirmed the relationship, you would be fine with the question being asked. She didn’t have to say anything. She could have refused to answer. Kristen and her team should know not every interview is going to be of the softball variety. The Today Show is a morning chat, but it deals with hard news. Kristen cheated on Rob on a public street. At a public location there is no expectation of privacy. This is not hard news; but from that world, questions about what you did in broad daylight – and the impact on things that were affected (namely your relationship with the wronged party Rob) – are fair game. The fact that Kristen’s bad judgment could have negatively impact Breaking Dawn 2′s box office – and in turn Rob’s, Taylor’s and her income, plus Summit ‘s profits, made it a legitimate question as well, although it would have been asked differenly. Nevertheless not every reporter is going to kiss her backside and Kristen needs to realize that and be prepared better.

Keeping it private would be not having pictures taken together day after day. They could have worked out their relationship in private but they chose not to. I get that you are her fan and I respect that. I’ll be honest, I don’t get why people are so defensive about this subject. But bashing a journalist because she asked a question after everything that has occurred makes no sense. Well, the problem is, Kristen herself made her relationship with Rob public by apologizing through People magazine when she got caught hooking up with her director and declaring ” I love him, I love him”. So it’s fair game for the media to ask her about it. What is not fair is to ask Rob about it. She has been quite fortunate that only Today has asked her something related to the scandal. Savannah Guthrie has said that her approach to any interview is “to try to think
of the one question they would rather not be asked, just to see what they would say.” But Savannah Guthrie needs to remember that she too is a public figure. Does that mean we get to ask her whether frigidity led to the breakup of her marriage to BBC journalist Mark Orchard in 2009 or whether it was due to her having an extramarital affair with political consultant Mi­chael Feldman, whom she was romantically linked to after her divorce? Or how about asking her whether her meteoric rise on the Today Show at NBC was accomplished by her sleeping her way to the top with NBC executives?

It shouldn’t, but that is the standard of journalism that Savannah Guthrie and people like her are setting by asking these questions. Just because she wants to know, or people claim they have a right know, doesn’t mean she gets to ask whatever she wants. If she insists on
doing so, maybe we should reconsider the propriety of asking her the questions above. And until the “media” re-imposes some standards on itself, and clearly separates itself from celebrity gossip and reality television, the fourth estate will to continue to sink further into the
gutter and lack credibility as an important societal institution. Which it has long since ceased to be.

But then again, that what happens when reporting news becomes little
