Kristen Stewart ‘Snow White’ Deal Imminent

Kristen Stewart is in final negotiations to play the title role in Snow White and the Huntsman, and Gossip Cop is told a deal is imminent.

Nothing has been finalized at this hour.

Charlize Theron and Viggo Mortensen are also set to star in the film.

Stewart was offered Snow White several weeks ago.

Last month, amid rumors that Selena Gomez would take over as the character, Gossip Cop reported that Stewart was still the one who had the role, pending a final agreement.

It looks as though the ink will soon be dry.

    This is so sick! We were talking about this new role, not about her personal life!
    Why people always need to talk about Rob? If they are together? doesn’t matter… everybody knows about them! we got pictures and evidences, nostens!

    I am very happy for Kristen. Why do the nonsten, and robstens have to make everything a battle. If they are a couple it’s their business. If they are not that’s also their business. This article is about her being the film, why did the Rob/Kristen relationship have to come into it. By the way, for these people traveling to Europe and around the country is like take a commuter bus to these people, it would necessarily break them up, if they are a couple. Didn’t Kristen go to Budapest when he was filming BelAmi? You guys have to let this go and let it play out.

    still wish they chose someone who could act. there are plenty of brunettes in hollywood who could act. and at least act like they enjoy to act for the fans.

    like say ellen page. ellen page can act. and she prob won’t finger the camera.

    can’t see snow white stuttering. and can’t see kristen not stuttering.
    also can’t see kristen singing with a clear, non smoker voice.

    i guess this snow white doesn’t sing…or act….
    too bad. snow white was my first disney movie. i actually did like it.

    anyone would be better than her all her characters end up being the same, herself. Emma Stone or Selena would be better. A stuttering jittery miserable Snow White? I’ll pass on this movie.

    She was chosen over Selena, because that was just a rumor. Selena does made for tv sitcoms on a cable show for children. Kristen makes big budget movies as well as indies. Two different types of actors. Their age difference is two years but Kristen is in the same category as Natalie Portman, you can’t compare. Now wether she will make a good Snow White, that remains to be seen. If she can portray sweet, innocent, as well as brave then sure.

    I think that she is perfect for the role, she just looks like that type to play Snow White. I hope it’s a good movie.
    I believe that she’s a better fit than Selena Gomez, Selena is a good actress; but I don’t think that she’s a good fit for this type of movie. It’s going to be geared towards adults, like Red Riding Hood.

    When Rob was first selected to be “Edward”, there were many people that thought that he would not be good for the role. Now look what has happened he’s become some sort of demi-God. It’s ridiculous. Let’s face it the director, producers, and writer have their own collective vision for a role.

    I think that the Kristen will be great and that all of her detractors will have to have to eat crow when this film is finally released.

    This movie is NOT the Disney Snow White! IT IS A DARKER Snow White and she will do GREAT as Snow White in this TYPE of Snow White. Now IF it was the DISNEY Snow White than no she would NOT to good as S.W.

    MissZee, the original Snow White and Seven Dwarfs, and Snow White and Rose Red came from a collection of folk tales collected by the Bothers Grimm. The original tale originated in Yugoslavia. I don’t know exactly which of these Kristen is going to be in, but the original tale did not have a lot of singing and dancing. It was much darker than any child oriented film would be. The dwarf in Snow White and Rose Red wasn’t the nice, bubbly dwarf like we see in the Disney Films. He was actually a bad guy. The original tales were not directed necessarily toward children. Perhaps this is what this film is aiming at. So it’s actually Hollywood going back to the authentic version, not the homogenized Disney version.

    Well I can see we have a debate going here. It maybe a darker film but it is still going to attract children because it is snow white. I’m pretty sure it won’t be rated higher than PG. I’m a mother of 3 girls and they loved Bella and then saw Bella flipped off the cameras more than once and smoke pot. I had to explain that to them. I also had to explain why she never smiles and the list goes on. Again they LOVE Bella they don’t care if it was Kristen Stewart or Joe Blow, they just love Bella. Now they think Bella has issues. They are kids not adults. So I think that since there are other A actors in this movie it will do well but Kristen is not a good fit for this role for more than one reason. Kristen does not like the attention a bigger movie gets and goes out of her way to prove she will not be kind when she is not in the mood. I hope that after all the twilight stuff is over she takes a moment to get a personality and accept that if she is going to act she needs to appreciate her fans. If she is going to take roles where children are fans that she learns to adjust her issues and be nice and appreciative for the sake of her younger fans.

    Good for her! I’m glad she’s done Twilight and saw it through until the end but this will be a good project to separate herself from the franchise and not get “pigeon holed” into the role of Bella. Yes, she’ll always be known for that role but this will be good to get some distance from Twilight. Good for her. She’ll rock in that role.

    totally agree with @Carmen, this role suits her very well but let’s wait and see. i don’t think that smiling to everyone is a mandatory feature of every and each actor. some people just can not do it and some are very unnatural and smile non-stop so by the end of the day they have trouble trying to close the mouth. Kristen is already in the A-list, so the negativeness will get you nowhere.

    MarySway, if you have children who are not yet old enough to distinguish the difference between a fictional character and an actress, then why are you letting them watch Twilight? When you break it down, Twilight is about the dead living among humans, a story about possessive love, sexual tension, and killing. Bella is the centermost point in the Twilight movies, and even though Bella is not a vampire, she still is willing to die for her love. This isn’t something a child should be watching, hints why it’s rated PG13. And…I’ve been visiting this site for sometime without commenting, and I’ve noticed you constantly bashing Kristen. If you don’t like her so much, then why are you always commenting on the articles concerning her? I don’t get it, but it’s quite annoying. Just thought it was about time someone spoke up.

    I agree with Golddigger. My children LOVE twilight BUT they KNOW that Kristan is NOT Bella and that the movie is FICTION. If kids are not old enough to understand that or they do not understand it than THEY SHOULD NOT BE WATCHING! she IS a great actress and has acted since she was a CHILD but until Twilight she was not in the mags and had as many paps on her tail. This was all new to her and she needed to adjust! Sheesh big deal she don’t smile 24/7 well NOONE DOES!

    Oh yeah another movie she gets to ruin. Kristen should put her own money up and do the type of movies she wants to do, that way it’s only her money she loses. Kristen has lost money for studios than she made. Yes Twi films have made money but only a portion of that would go to Kristen and if you compare that to all the money she has lost Indie productions Kristen would still owe millions. Kristen Stewart can’t act and she will ruin this movie.

    Renee she has been acting since she was a CHILD and she has done VERY well for herself! Can you name ONE movie that SHE MADE LOSE MONEY? You claim she has cost INDIE PRODUCTIONS MILLIONS so please tell me WHAT productions has SHE single handily cost “millions”?     This movie is supposed to be along the lines of the new “Red Riding Hood” NOT a happy cheerful Disney movie with little bluebirds and squirrels cleaning the house.
    The original fairy tale was a dark gothic tale not a cartoon.
    BTW…I want some squirrels to come wash my dishes!

    Another BTW…I have yet to figure out why all of the people that hate Kristin and/or Rob ALWAYS lurk these boards. If you hate them so much….go post for someone you love…They need support too.
    The world is too full of negative people. It is just to easy to have a good comment.
    Half-full people….Not half-empty.
    I love some of the things she has done and not so much on others…..Just like every other actor/actresses :D
