Kristen Stewart’s Sexuality: “I’m Not Ashamed”
Kristen Stewart wants the world to know she’s not “ashamed” of her sexuality and love life. The actress makes the comment in her new Elle cover story.
Stewart is one of eight stars to grace a cover of the magazine’s annual “Women In Hollywood” issue. Now in its 23rd year, the publication says the special editions are in “celebration of women who light up the screen (and, resultantly, our worlds).” Stewart is deemed a “female supertalent,” along with Anna Kendrick, Felicity Jones, Aja Naomi King, Lupita Nyong’o, Amy Adams, Helen Mirren, and Kathy Bates.
Stewart is also called “magnetic” by the outlet, and her photo shoot included posing in an open blazer with nothing underneath (see below). In the interview, the actress addresses both her professional and personal lives. And she doesn’t mince words when discussing her decision to be more open about dating women.
“I’m not ashamed, and I’m not confused. Things have changed,” she says. “And not just with me — we’re really allowed to encourage this new acceptance to develop and be awesome.”
As Gossip Cop reported at the time, Stewart previously told sister publication Elle U.K., “I’m just really in love with my girlfriend.” The comment marked the first time the movie star spoke publicly about the relationship. That interview was for British version of the magazine’s September 2016 edition.
Now for the stateside publication, Stewart’s new chat will appear in the November 2016 issue. Check out the photo below!
