First of all it’s logical that Rob would do promotion for Eclipse…and when it’s time to the promotion for Bel Ami, or Water for Elephants that he will do that. It’s all part of the job and it’s what everyone does.

Kristen didn’t need to apologize. Any who calmly read the Elle article and wasn’t out to hurt Kristen understood what she meant. However, She gave a sincere, genuine and dignified apology. She didn’t make any excuses she said she was wrong and that she was sorry.

I don’t know whether Kristen and Rob are a truly a couple or not, but if he steps away from when she would most need him, then I say that would make him an opportunist and a shallow person. She didn’t step away from him when he made the “I hate vaginas” comments. His behavior hasn’t been so exemplar…he is just older and knows how to manipulate the media better. She actually makes him look good.

I am posting what I wrote to “RAINN” the Rape, Abuse & Incest victims advocate group because I find what their behavior towards Kristen Stewart to be absolutely outrageous!! I don’t understand why people think when the paparazzi is “sexually assaulting” Kristen VERBALLY, that this is ok. She is constantly being “raped” by the words they use. For anyone to say differently is sick.

This RAINN group NEEDS TO APOLOGIZE TO KRISTEN AND NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND! SHE’S A VICTIM!

Here’s what I wrote NOTE: Use of words in a sexual nature is verbal sexual abuse; I needed to make that statement more clearer than I did to RAINN:

- A 17/18 year old female is standing at a gas station pumping gas into her car. She is surrounded by at least 15 strange men jamming cameras in her face while filming her and taking her picture while saying vile things out of their mouths to her.

- A 18/19 year old female coming out of a restaurant surrounded by at least 15 or so men & woman jamming cameras in her face taking her picture and filming her as she tries to run and board a cab, she is verbally harassed and called a “bitch” amongst other things.

- A 18/19 year old female runs out of a cab and is chased into her hotel by a strange man carrying a camera who proceeds to film her as she tries to hide behind another individual clearly upset and the man continues to film her until the door closes.

- A 20 year old female traveled 12 or more hours to another country. In an attempt to relax, she goes onto her hotel room’s balcony. She’s subsequently greeted with a large group of unknown men with cameras with long lenses pointed at her room where she showers, changes her clothes, sleeps, walks around nude…cameras…cameras being held by men taking her picture in the privacy of her room’s balcony.

- A 20 year old girl chased by numerous of unknown strange men thru the streets of this country screaming some of the most vile things at her while taking her picture and filming her.

- A 20 year old girl returning home walking from the plane to the car surrounded by strange men screaming vile things at her after she just completed a promotion tour…mind you she wasn’t working at the time.

- A 19 year old female is coming out of her trailer on the film set. A photo is taken of her with her pants unbuttoned. This picture was placed on a country’s national gossip magazine claiming she’s PREGNANT! A 19-year old un-wedded girl’s picture being broadcast around the world claiming that she’s pregnant. *shakes head in shock*

- An 18 year old female being secretly filmed in a hotel parking lot along with her mother speaking to a friend. The girl doesn’t even know that she’s being filmed by strange men hiding somewhere near by until the video and pictures were posted on the internet.

- An 18 year old female is standing on the balcony of her friend’s hotel room having pictures taken of her while pictures are being taken of her friend actually through the window of the hotel room. There were more intrusive pictures taken of them having lunch etc… at the hotel.

THERE ARE MORE EXAMPLES BUT I THINK YOU GET THE POINT.

At the age of 17, 18, 19 and 20 this female can be seen in pictures and film running, ducking attempting to hide from hordes of strange men screaming vile things at her. She is so scared that she is afraid to drive her car because strange men are chasing her and are assaulting her verbally and assaulting her space denying her privacy.

This same female has continuously made every attempt to avoid any place where these hordes of men hang out but yet they find her and attack her at every chance they get. She’s not seeking them out in any way.

What I find offensive by you wanting an apology is the fact that you failed to protect- speak out against those who are assaulting this female. A female who feels “raped” by the process. “Raped” and “used” by “the system” just to make money off of her image and her private life which she goes to tremendous lengths to protect in any way she can.

YOU FAILED TO PROTECT AND DEFEND PUBLICLY A YOUNG LADY WHO’S BEING ASSAULTED. What? Verbal assaults don’t count. Being harassed and having vile things screamed at you doesn’t warrant your protection?

The paparazzi takes her pictures by force; by placing her under seizure by surrounding her and then verbally abusing her in the process.

KRISTEN HAS NO REASON TO APOLOGIZE!! She’s RIGHT!! She’s being “raped” not in the sexual nature but by the actions of the paparazzi.

Kristen is cerebral. She was expressing angst with the paparazzi in an intellectual manner but not to insult or hurt or trying to place herself as an actual “rape victim” but as a victim of a “rape of her privacy”. Of her self-being.

Kristen is hurting inside. She’s calling out for help and all you did to her today was have her being “raped” over and over again by the press.

I can’t take no more. First of all, this young lady CANNOT act. She has a flat affect, which some may want to contribute to the character she portrayed in the Twilight series. However, it actually puts most hard working people to sleep. She is less than gracious about her success when interviewed. On Regis and Kelly, she uttered “uh” a lot and looked at her lap. Subsequently, she is an actress, because without other people writing words to put in her mouth she lacks intelligence. The writers are what has made these people famous, not their abilities or lack thereof.

Just, ugh. Why do we get all their personal pain and not get to celebrate the joy so much? They trust me with the personal struggle downside all the time – and I care, I wish I didn’t, but I do. I don’t mind hearing about it, but if I have to then why can’t I be trusted with the happiness side too?

It’s heavy and it doesn’t make sense. I already supported their projects, so I don’t get what’s being asked of me.

Thanks for your comments on Kristen…..I’ve been on all sorts of sites saying the same thing and I too believe that the word “Rape”can be used as a description for violation of someones privacy.
Kristen has had to put up with alot these past months and is hounded everywhere she goes.
I’m so sick of these women or girls criticising every little thing she says or does.

The whole situation with the paparazzi is complicated. They wouldn’t take pictures if we didn’t look at pictures and the only way we won’t look is if we don’t care in which case the actors are screwed. So I’m not completely against photogs. It’s not so much the pictures I object to. I think as actors, knowing the business they’re in they can’t wail too hard at being photographed at an airport or while they’re working.

It’s paps actions and the verbal assaults that stars have to put up with that infuriates me. If I were walking down the street and guys started surrounding me, sexually taunting me with who I f***ed this morning I’d be calling the police. (assuming I didn’t have a gun handy) And it’s by no means just Ms. Stewart I’m sorry for. Anybody remember Britney Spears and the horrible pics of her surrounded by paps at a gas station and who then proceeded to follow her car out into the street? I’m not even a Britney fan and I still, to this day, find it completely heinous that they are allowed to get away with that.

Celebrities sign up for a lot of stuff to be able to make movies and get paid millions of dollars and live in lala land. They are not, however, in the military and do NOT sign away their basic human rights. Or they shouldn’t have too. Ms. Stewart is clearly not seeking the constant attention of so many celebrities and I don’t think she’s required by law to put up with abuse any one of us would call law enforcement over. The fact that she does is probably because people would accuse her of whining or looking for PR. So she’s stuck between a rock and a hard place. Her only outlet is to tell people how much it hurts and affects her to put up with the constant harassment. I’m afraid I am out of the loop. How did RAINN attack Kristen Stewart other than saying her choice of words were regrettable? They were regrettable. Whether she meant to offend anyone or not is beside the point. She did offend people, and rather than rolling her eyes and saying “Get over it. That’s not what I meant”, she apologized for the misunderstanding. So clearly I’m missing something, because I don’t understand the outrage.

Kambria, RAINN should not have attacked Kristen for trying to express her angst about being attacked by the paparazzi. It is their job to understand when females are under distress which Kristen was. Instead of them doing their job in understanding her distress, they followed the gossip hounds and fell into the trap of criticizing her for using the word “rape” as if it could not be used in the context that she used it.

If you read my post, you will see that the word “rape” was used in Jurassic Park. The word was not being used as in saying that the paparazzi was raping her physically or trying to compare herself to a rape victim. And if people are too stupid to understand that then their just stupid.

She used the word to describe what they were doing in the context of abuse…which is what RAINN is supposed to stand against. As for RAINN not protecting her from the perverted assholes behind cameras, I’m sure they would if they weren’t spending there time trying to help those 1 in 6 women (and 1 in 33 men) who have been sexually abused and need help recovering. If you feel so strongly about how the paparazzi treat Kristen, perhaps you should consider protesting them instead.
