Rob couldn’t take it seriously, either, he compared the sex scene to planking. He said the stunt aspect scared him because he thought the bed was going to collapse on him. Both of them are clinical and unromantic about this. Then when the movie comes out they will add music and soft focus and rapid cutting and it will continue the illusion.

Just don’t confuse the movie with real life. One is an epic romance and the other isn’t.

Funny, I saw the handprint ceremony where both Rob and Taylor thanked the fans and Kristen didn’t. She got up there and made it all about her, when the other 2 recognized that if not for the fans, they wouldn’t be standing there. But she got her moment in the spotlight and made it all about her, not the fans or her co-stars. She doesn’t seem like the ideal of perfection you paint her to be.

You sound blind to her flaws. She’s had to publicly apologize twice for using words like “rape” to describe having her photo taken, and she’s embarrassed herself many times. Her rant about what a victim she is because all her teachers failed her in Glamour UK showed that she’s earned that title of Miss Snarling Entitlement bestowed on her by Esquire Magazine a couple of years ago.

If anyone is guilty of public humiliation, it would be Kristen. She keeps trying to force Rob into admitting they’re dating, but so far, he’s not falling for her tricks. She should just realize he likes being friends with benefits but that’s where it ends. He’s not going to marry her, he won’t even admit they’re dating. She should realize he’s just not that into her.

She’s been in the business since she was 10, she keeps saying she doesn’t want to be famous and then she does 5 magazine covers in a month and signs on for another big teen franchise. If she didn’t want to be famous she wouldn’t do those kinds of things. She’d go back to her little indie films that no one goes to see, then people wouldn’t pay so much attention to her or ask her to pose for covers.

She’s a hypocrite. She talks about of both sides of her mouth and wants to have her cake and eat it too. Even Rob said she’s not shy at all. She likes attention and her actions prove she’ll do anything to get it. Too bad she doesn’t know how to show gratitude for falling into a teen franchise.

I have a sense of humor and can tell when Rob is saying something outrageous as a joke. He knows the actor wasn’t ordained until after the movie was done filming, so he knows they aren’t married in the eyes of the church or any legal way. He likes to say shocking things so he doesn’t seem boring.

All we ever hear Kristen say is how she doesn’t want to be famous and how she blames everyone else for things that go on in her life. She blamed all her teachers for failing her, she didn’t thank fans for getting her handprint at Grauman’s theater, and now she’s complaining she doesn’t want people to look at her when she goes to the store. I have a solution for her, go back to her indie films and become invisible again the way she was before.

I watched several interviews she gave recently and it looks to me like it isnt easy for her to do. She is trying to be pleasant and friendly and answer the questions asked but she is not at ease. I have seen interviews Kristen gave for the Panic Room and she was poised and natural even tho so much younger. This thing with twilight is a whole different ballgame. Let me just address this whole not thanking her fans etc at the hand print ceremony situation once and for all, first of all kristen was not expecting to have to make a speech. So of course she caught off guard and probably left some things I’m sure she wanted to say out.

She always says thank you to her fans first and foremost especially when signing autographs which I always find amusing because they should be thanking her but because she’s kind and gracious she appreciates her fans when they stand there to get her autograph. Even at 2am in the morning when people are standing outside of her house for an autograph she signs them and thanks them. Even when people are lurking outside of her trailer on the set of SWATH, she signs the autographs and thanks her fans. Need I go on to show how sweet this girl is? She is all about women sticking together as she gives her girl fans advice on relationship and apparently punching someone lol but she stands up for girls which is quite sad because its the same girls she tries to empowers that turn on her for no damn reason other than she is dating rob.

Also about that damn ceremony she said she wanted all the cast and crew to have had the same honor as her and appreciates the hard work it took everyone to complete the film. That doesn’t sound like anyone who is narcissistic or makes it all about herself. Stop with the bullshit, its getting old, the more you hate kristen the more her fans stand behind her it must eat you all inside that you can’t bring her down.

This hatred and vitriol directed towards both these fine young actors is ludicrous. They are BOTH very appreciative of their fans and prove it over and over and over and over again by both words AND actions. In fact, they both go out of their WAY to be gracious. Just bc they are famous doesn’t mean they have to like their privacy invaded. Both have attempted to express this appreciation, yet hope they can lead somewhat normal lives, in many interviews. Plus, they’re only JUST dealing with this supernova fame over last 3 years, and at SUCH young ages. They are both exceptional, and like rare animals in the beastly bowels of Hollywood. Do they sometimes make gaffes? sure. Do they sometimes both say something that could be misconstrued or potentially tick off a fan or maybe even each other? Well, of course. They’re not perfect. Nor should they be expected to be.

I dearly hope they can weather this intense criticism in the eye of their stardom rise and overcome their fears and balance that with their aspirations to become real actors. Their directors have done NOTHING but praise both. Simply look to their latest with Bill Condon and David Cronenberg for Rob. They say their talented, humble and have immense talent. Their costars all say the same, in very real and warm ways. I think I trust they people who know and work with them far more than the ramblings and musings of those who don’t know them.

Good luck to both Rob and Kristen, and thank you for entertaining us with your films…because that is ALL you owe anyone.

God, all this ‘he’s mean to her’ ‘sh’es ungrateful’.

From what I saw, she was appreciative and thankful during the handprint ceremony. From what I see, he keeps joking and saying anything that’d cross his mind and make for a funny story, and she sometimes rolls her eyes at him or shakes her head at his comments but remember the mtv’s interview, he’s the one who’s more likely to say the inappropiate jokes according to her and he did agree. They get each other, they tease each other, they can go away with teasingly mocking each other or saying ‘shut up’, and it’s not dissing each other like some people would like to believe. They’re a couple and they know each other more than any one of us here does, they don’t want to sell their relationship and will deflect any question regarding that question even if it means that people will read too much into it or more exactly will come to the wrong conclusion or idea.

From what I saw from the movie promotion so far, they looked genuinely happy and in love, they’re glowing and you just have to watch them for a few minutes to get it. And it sure doesn’t fit with dissing or demeaning each other like I often read. They’re on the same page.

Now it’s also obvious that Rob can get away with much more than Kristen. That’s a fact and even Kristen told him that last year after the ‘rape’ comment fiasco. But it’s not their fault, that’s just how it goes. Maybe because the fandom is mostly women so they just let it go when Rob says inappropriate things or laugh it off. Whether when Kristen does, they don’t. Rob says some fans are clinically insane (and I can understand why he would jokingly say that) and it’s fine. Kristen says she’d love to have her personal life not invaded by papz or overinvested fans all the time and it’s a drama in the fandom when Rob has been saying all the time how he tries to avoid all of this too. Both have been very gracious with fans, people who met kristen always say how sweet and shy she is, like Rob, she often goes spontaneously and graciously go to the fans to sign autographs and such. Yes, double standard. But why hate or blame one or the other for that? Hating on Rob won’t make the mean comments towards Kristen go away. And vice versa. On the contrary it makes the hate stronger and factions fight harder.

The bottom line is that they’re both invested in their carreer, very appreciative of the fans and of what twilight brought to them and it’s obvious. But both are not willing to live their personal life in public and get invaded by noisy people in their private time. Both will openly say that fame also has its bad sides and is not always living a fairy tale. Same wishes, same feelings, just a different reaction to that from the fandom. The fandom is to blame not any of them.

Sometimes I feel really ashamed of the women (mostly nonstens) in this fandom. They act childish, petty, and jealous toward Kristen who they don’t even know just because she’s dating Rob. No wonder Rob thinks the Twilight fans are insane.

Emma, I don’t believe it will ever be worse for Kristen than it is now so things should improve. I would imagine the endless scrutiny of her personal life is draining. I sure hope Rob is worth all of this in the end.

I’v actually never seen Kristen say that she doesn’t want to be famous. I’v heard her say that she could have never imagined what her life is now, and that she sometimes misses how her life was before. But I have never heard her say “I wish I wasn’t famous”, because she truely is grateful for what she’s got.

I don’t know if I missunderstood what she wrote, but if I understood correctly she was saying that her saying filming the sex scene was weird, shouldn’t be confused with their real life. Because some people who read articles like this start thinking it has to do with their real life situation. So SHE wasn’t comparing it to how they’ve got it, she was trying to stop other people from comparing.

Kristen stated in more than one interview this weekend she wishes Stephanie Meyer and Bill had been asked to make their mark in the cement, because it was a group effort and she’s a part of a team. She realized whole-heartedly what a big deal that ceremony was. She was truly overwhelmed but clearly thrilled., showing her playful side pretending to mark Rob and Taylor with her hands, smiling and waving to the fans. Notice she made a beeline to the fans behind the podium as soon as it ended, and Rob followed her lead. It was clearly spontaneous. I also met Kristen at the Eclipse premiere, was the first person she walked up to. I can assure she is gracious, grateful and humbled to a fault by the fan adoration. You are seeing what you want to see to justify your hatred of her.

I know I just don’t want her to feel like she has to hide, to me that is heartbreaking because she could missing out you know. And sometimes Linda I feel the same way that Rob will be worth it in the end because honestly I don’t think she would be going through this if it wasn’t for the relationship, and I can’t wait until twilight is over so kristen can just do what she loves and feel like she has to hide. The SWATH fans will def. not behave like this, you are totally right.
