Kristen Stewart “Once And Forever” Chanel Short Film — WATCH HERE!
The 11-minute movie showcases the behind-the-scenes happenings of a fictional Coco Chanel biopic. Stewart’s character is cast as Chanel, and she clashes with the director, played by Jérémie Elkaïm. At one point she tells a producer, “You want to make a commercial? Go hire another f*cking actress.” The film premiered in Rome on Tuesday, where Chanel’s new Métiers d’Art collection was unveiled.
The project was first teased last month, with Lagerfeld telling Women’s Wear Daily that he developed the short film with Stewart, one of his muses, in mind to star. “I think she’s one of the greatest actors of her generation,” said the designer, noting he was “very flattered and honored” when Stewart agreed to participate.
In a new interview with Vogue, however, Stewart shares her belief that co-star Geraldine Chaplin, who plays an older Chanel, out-performed her. “To say I played Coco Chanel would sound like a joke, which I suppose it was. She really owns that,” Stewart humbly states. “I was so lucky to see it in person.”
In a behind-the-scenes video, Chaplin also gushes about Stewart’s performance. Check out both the short film and interview below, and tell us what you think!
