More like Nikki went after him, and what young, attractive, single guy who was (let’s face it) more than likely bored, lonely, and horny wouldn’t say “sure, let’s see what happens.” Nikki is pretty, but deep down she’s got some ugliness and pettiness in her, and I don’t think, if they were anything at all, Rob ever saw it lasting. Nikki tried to make a Mr. Right out of a Mr. Okay for Now Until Someone Better is Available, and she got hurt and reacted out of bitterness and anger. But the truth had always been there. Rob never lied about his admiration and attraction for Kristen even while he supposedly had something on the side with Nikki and Kristen was with someone else. Was that shitty of him? Sure, but I think he was upfront with Nikki, and Nikki is one to jump head first into fairytale thinking even with reality staring her in the face. She probably truly believed that Kristen and Michael would never break up, and that eventually Rob would embrace her fully as a girlfriend. There was probably a lot of blame and hurt to go around, but I honestly think they’ve all moved on. Even though those friendships appear to be too far gone, they all seem so much happier now than they did in 2008. So as a fan, I say good for them all.

I don’t think she ever dated Rob, maybe had a fling but that is it. They hung out as friends but she made sure that they got pap’d every time they were out. Rob was seen out with many different women during the time before he was with Kristen so he definitely wasn’t exclusive with Nikki (if they even had anything at all). I feel like the whole Rob and Nikki thing was just Nikki giving gossip to whomever would listen to get her name out there. I’ve seen an very early Twilight interview with Kristen Stewart. She was asked about the cast or something and said she got on great with them and she was having a lot of fun on set because her “best friend Nikki Reed” was in the film too. They also were always very cuddly and messing around during twilight events and photo-shoots and that all kinda stopped around the time those first pictures of Kristen and Rob holding hands in Paris came out and Robsten rumors started being possibly/probably true. Kristen wasn’t at Nikki’s wedding so it’s safe to say they are not “best friends” anymore.

The rumored Rob/Nikki “thing” whether it’s true or not may have something to do with Kristen and Nikki’s friendship break-up but maybe Kristen didn’t like Nikki’s attitude to fame. Kristen’s notoriously private and doesn’t use her personal life to sell herself as an actress and let’s face it Nikki has dated a Paris Hilton ex, very publicly met and married an American Idol within a couple of months, allegedly tipped paparazzi to her whereabouts etc. and made suggestive comments about cast mates.

I didn’t miss what she wrote in 17. Just because you think it is about Rob doesn’t mean that it is, she may have wrote that just to rile people up because that is how she works.

And also explain if he was dating Nikki why was he out at bars proposing to other women? Just watch the Access Hollywood interview where he talked about some girl he proposed to and he obviously gave her his number since she texted him asking if the wedding was still on. And whenever the cast was doing interviews or photoshoots his attention would be more on Kristen than Nikki.

Ever since he and Kristen got together, you don’t see him out with other girls or proposing to them. And don’t forget about how he talked about being with one person and that is it. If he ever had anything with Nikki then it meant nothing to him.

They come up with it to sell magazines. They have some grains of truth in this, but they don’t know the whole story. They all became friends as soon as they started filming Twilight, but Rob and Nikki also started dating on the download, in Rob’s mind, a friends with benefits deal that he didn’t want anyone to find out about. In Nikki’s mind, she was his girlfriend but he valued his privacy so she agreed to keep it quiet. She’s written about this in Seventeen this month.

They were together on the downlow until April 2009 when Rob sent Nikki back to LA and KStew dumped Michael. KStew knew about them though, she and Mike used to double date with them and she was supposed to be Nikki’s best friend. KStew broke the girlcode and blindsided Michael.

Shippers don’t want to believe it, but there were plenty of photos, they were caught out all the time but it was passed of as just friends because Rob didn’t want everyone up in his business. He still doesn’t.

Except for the 10 days he went to London to act as godfather, he remained in LA. So one weekend a month he may have snuck in and out of London. Just proves the point that he doesn’t want to acknowledge their relationship or he wouldn’t be sneaking. And he’s happy being on his own for months without her. Doesn’t sound like epic romance to me, still sounds like friends with benefits.

You need to go back to school and learn how to count. Rob and Nikki were together for 14 months, from Feb. 2008 to April 2009, and that wasn’t 5 years ago, it was 2 years ago. KStew isn’t that smart. She’s fallen into the same game that Nikki did. She keeps telling reporters that Rob’s her boyfriend but you don’t hear Rob saying she’s his GF. When he was asked point blank by The Insider, he shook his head “no” and said that was so ridiculous.

That was his opportunity to say yes, or sure, or something, but not “ridiculous.” She doesn’t look so smart to me, especially since he can’t seem to stand being in the same city with her for more than 10 days without having to go back to LA where he’s not working.

A lot of these pics don’t show much, but I have always wondered about Nikki’s hand on Rob’s “junk.” Seems to me that most men don’t let just anyone do that sort of thing, and judging by what I’ve seen of Rob’s personality I would venture to guess that he would not let just anyone do this to him either. Another pic I have always wondered about is the pic showing what is very obviously some kind of disagreement going on between Rob and Nikki. These photos are crisp and clear and Rob knows they were being taken, he’s posing with her, not running and hiding from the camera. And none of them are on the same night, they cover a 14 month period and there are even more.

All through 2008 he told everyone that he was single and had a major crush on Kristen. But Nikkie didn’t know that??? LoL! Seriously? i remember that empire photo shoot from 2008 and kristen glared at rob’s hand when he put his arm around her shoulder and asked her “you okay?”. there were no issues with her and michael at that time and it seems that that arm that rob put around kristen made her mad because he was getting too close for comfort. her facial expression said “hey, watch it, buddy. i’m taken.”

then in 2009, there were pics of kristen and michael and they did not look happy together at all. obviously, they were having relationship issues and rob was probably one of the reasons. then kristen and rob were seen at a bar together all happy. and michael was no longer in the picture.

in the summer of 2009, the romance rumors between rob and kristen were out in full force and nikki pulled all of her shenanigans with the paparazzi and making all those not-so-subtle comments about rob and kristen (mostly rob). to me, i think nikki was hurt more from rob than kristen because rob seems to be the target to most of her little comments.

have you all noticed that sometimes nikki and kristen will talk (nikki was even seen hugging kristen’s dad so i don’t think that everything is awful with them) but rob and nikki never ever talk to each other or look at one another.

Nikki Reed has said in interviews for BD that everyone isn’t as close as they were when the whole Twilight saga started. Some are still friends and some aren’t. And this article even says that the mag is making KStew look bad so where is this hate for Nikki Reed aaaand another thing why does it make Nikki a bad person for having anything with Rob before he had anything with KStew?? Its not like Nikki saw him sucking face with KStew and decided she wanted him. KStew had a bf when Twilight started and Nikki and Rob were single.

I don’t believe for a second that Rob and Nikki were ever together. If it was true she would have posted pictures, videos and called the press in a second to report the story. I think it stays at one until they confirm it with reps quite often. They don’t want to have to backtrack later if a rumor turns out to be true so they just rate it is highly unlikely.

I also believe something went on between Rob and Nikki, and that she was hoping for more. And I’m convinced a feud did happen between KS and Nikki (and probably between Rob and Nikki). Otherwise how would you explain they barely speak anymore? They used to be best friends… It was especially obvious during the Ellen show, it seems everything was done for Rob and KS to be placed as far away as Nikki as could be. And regardless of the status of the relationship between Rob and KS, I get the impression KS did break the BFF code as she was probably aware of Nikki’s interest in Rob. OK people listen, maybe Nikki and Rob had a thing, I strongly believe that, although I really don’t know to what extend. Maybe fuck buddies, maybe just going out, maybe a normal relationship. But there is not a speck of a doubt that Rob was totally infatuated with Kristen, ever since the beginning: he wanted to do the movie because of her, he would mention in Twilight interviews that the best thing about it was that he got to kiss her, and that she is amazing, and that he would definitely go out with her and all that. You could tell just by the way he was looking at her, and the way he still looks at her even now.
And about Kristen, maybe it wasn’t all so dramatic as some people want it to be: That she cheated on Michael Angarano, and she broke Nikki’s heart. This could all have happened very simply. Kristen and MIchael’s thing maybe just fizzled, and they ended it on good terms. Maybe everything happened more simply than it seems. Of course I’m not rainbow coloring the situation. Maybe things did get ugly, I don’t know, but I’m not gonna stand only on the “All my children” version of the situation.
And one last thing: Rob and Kristen are together, and they are pretty much in love. Pattinson has always been completely head over heels for her and it’s fucking obvious. And Kristen is totally happy with him, fucking obvious as well. Now leave them alone darlings. :)

in fact, i doubt ‘the truth’ that rob and nikki once dated. cause if they really dated, kristen might not dated rob because his ex was her best friend. even though there were some pics of rob and nikki, these hardly show rob and nikki were boyfriend and girlfriend’s relationship. and nikki definitely knew rob crashed on kristen.
but i do think there are some problems between kristen and nikki, maybe the three, but i don’t know what and why

It isn’t speculation that it was Rob she was talking about it because she and the interviewer discussed all the speculation about Kristen and Rob during the interview and when he brought up all of the photo proof evidence out there she said

Who else is the obvious boyfriend but Rob? Especially since he was just talking about him and all of the pictures of them together. You are who she is talking about with the “See, told you they’re not together.” after she says “would still be” that means if either she or Rob said it straight out for you that they are together you would still say they are not together. She is stating the obvious. Again, I don’t understand how you can believe they were together once but not anymore when it is all right here in this interview.

And getting back to the point that greendayfan was saying is that Kristen did not bring up Rob being her boyfriend in the interview, the interviewer brought Rob up.

That photo of Nikki with her hand on Rob’s junk looks pretty clear to me, and he’s looking right into the camera, he isn’t running away and hiding. That first pic of them pressed up against each other smiling looks clear, too. Maybe you need to take another look without your shipper glasses on.

Nikki forgave KStew but she held her grudge against Rob, that’s why they were friendly during 2010 but things have changed in the past 2 months and now Nikki isn’t happy with KStew either. Maybe all that “my English boyfriend” blathering in Glamour UK irritated her.

I think it is horrible if people tweet hate to her about this stuff though because everything is just speculation and no one knows what the actual facts are. We don’t know if Nikki and Rob had a thing or not, we don’t know why they don’t get along anymore. I love Rob and Kristen together I do think they have a good chemistry but I must admit looking at the links from Gennifer at how Rob used to be, I miss that Rob. It sucks now that he has to be so guarded and you can tell that he used to really have fun with Nikki, its clear they had a good friendship and I sort of feel bad for her and him that they lost that friendship regardless of the circumstances. There are many videos of this on youtube. They were together all of 2008 and until April 2009.

While Kristen probably had an attraction to Rob from the very beginning she obviously thought a lot about it and didn’t rush into anything with him, especially given she had a long-term boyfriend. These people who give Kristen a hard time for not dating Rob at first are also the ones who would have called Kristen a slut, bitch, etc. if she jumped into a relationship with Rob right away.

Well it was quite obvious and we learnt it from the horse’s mouth that Rob had a crush on kristen. And h.He was all about her in interviews. Whether people want to believe it or not, Rob and Nikki were together for over a year and KStew knew all about it. She and Nikki were thicker than thieves back then. There’s a video of them kissing in a car on youtube, you can search for it. They were best friends, the four of them double dated many times. Then KStew dumped Mike and went after Rob. That’s how she broke the girlcode and Rob still won’t call her his girlfriend or talk about her, just he way he treated Nikki. It is what it is, and denial ain’t just a river in Egypt.

I saw that video, the entire video where he was being asked if it was true that he proposed to Kristen 4 times and he responded by telling her he proposes to everyone and then pulled out his cell phone to show her someone texted him to find out if they were still on for the wedding. I had a BFF do this kind of thing to me, until you are in the situation and experiencing it yourself, you don’t want to believe that your BFF would ever do something like that to you and at the end of the day if you only suspect that she is sending the knife to your back, you really cannot do anything about that without making accusations and without solid proof that your suspicions are on the money, you really cannot confront the situation. I think all of us ladies have had a similar situation happen to us. I had a couple of friends do that to me, neither were my BEST friends though (in fact, my bestfriend is a guy, he passed in 1993 and I could never replace him). One friend was lied to by my ex and the other was an idiot that just never had a good friend, she grew up with friends just like herself. When I was in high school I had a friend that was crushing on a football player friend of mine. What I didn’t know was that he liked me. Eventually, I liked him too. BUT, nothing ever came of it because I would never do that to a friend of mine. I’m a very loyal person.
I also had a situation when one of my friends slept with my BF because he lied to her and said we had broken up. He fessed up right away, but she had already told me and felt really bad about what she had done. That guilt was all the payback I needed. I would never allow a guy to come between me and a life long friend, which is what she still is.

have you noticed that whenever rob gets a bad press and his image is not good you don’t have to wait long for article(s) painting kristen as the bad guy (bad girfriend that treats him wrong, it’s kris that doesn’t want to get married etc.).

People think that nikki stands behind the latest article that shows kirsten as the one who fights with her and rob is shown as this great dude that wants to be a mediator between them. I don’t think it’s true.

Just stumbled across this ‘discussion’. Not a fan by any means but this subject of ‘what gets ‘lost in translation’ interests me.

Even though Americans and the English share the same language, our senses of humour differ remarkably. Pattinson is clearly joking (otherwise known tongue in cheek / ‘taking the piss” in the UK) when he goes on press junkets and interviews.

This kind of humour is what we Brits do best. Unlike Americans we don’t take ourselves so seriously, so it’s easy to misunderstand us. It’s definitely worth taking the time to know this about us, though.

I saw those photos in another website and I was %100 sure that someone would bring this up in GC. I wasn’t wrong. It seems that was what you’ve been waiting for. Whenever, he is photographed in a restaurant/bar without her you always jump over and make assumptions which are most likely untrue. Do you have proof he was there with that girl and was “all over her” ? No. And unknown “folks at the bar” don’t count. If a photo of him with another girl leaving the restaurant or something like that came out, you’d have a point. But this is not what happened. And you know it as well. And @kikay, I don’t know for sure whether it was Rob or not in that car photo. But I don’t think it was him. He didn’t have a shiny jacket unlike the guy in that photo. But as you said, even if it was he, it doesn’t change a thing. He has rights to have friends regardless of their gender.

For three years RP & KS have been called virtually cheating whores in the media and the blogs. Recently OK Magazine alleged KS was getting too cozy with Taylor Lautner for Pattinson’s comfort and he blew up at a show taping (Ellen I believe). It’s now getting to the point that non-fans cannot take them seriously as actors because their supposed bed hopping is getting more press than any projects of theirs, especially when a Twilight installment comes out. Sure people on blogs and threads like this are expressing outrage, but apparently those voices are not strong enough for any publication to print a retraction or issue an apology. Remember Lautner’s GQ Australia article and the proposition question? That sparked such an outcry that Lautner got an apology within 72 hours. The mags are going to continue to portrary RP & KS this way because there are no financial and employment consequences for implying they are sluts.

IMO the two let these negative perceptions of them go on too long. Look at the Rob/Kristen/Nikki mess. It’s presumed Nikki is bringing this back from the dead, but RP & KS have not taken a firm public stand early and shut this down for good. There has been the occasional it’s not true, but it’s going to take more than that. A public fight in court may be needed. I know the stand by don’t- bother-with-court-it-draws-more-attention. Well too late, this allegation comes back like a case of herpes and it erodes at their reputations as time passes. My guess is Summit is telling them to keep quiet so not to wreck the box office returns.

Not all publicity is good publicity. A good name and talent is key to longevity in Hollywood IMO. Twilight ends next year and they are going to need more than Twi-hards to keep them viable.

Although I’m very late with this comment just wanted to say that I’m new to twilight; just read the books & seen the movies. When my niece became a tweenager, I became interested.

I’ve read how they’ve been together for FOUR years?? (2008), Rob had a crush on Kristen – this is why he auditioned for the movie, there was instant chemistry between them, you could see that they were into each other while filming etc…..

Of course I also read that Kristen had a longtime BF, Michael Angarano when she auditioned for twilight (kristen’s nylon magazine interview Mar 2009). Another site stated that they broke up sometime in 2009.

Although you have to take most things with a grain of salt, I noticed that there was little info on Rob’s girlfriends before he & Kristen hooked up. Since she stated that she had a BF when they first met, I wondered WHO Rob was DOING the YEAR BEFORE he and Kristen became a couple. At this point we know that they are and HAVE BEEN in a REALTIONSHIP. He is a young man. He could not have been just sitting around all by his lonesome WAITING for Kristen to become available……..
