Kristen Stewart is NOT being courted as the new face of Nike, despite a FALSE report from RadarOnline.

The webloid claims that “Nike bigwigs are pulling out all the stops to persuade Kristen Stewart — a huge fan of the shoemaker — to sign a celebrity endorsement deal.”

The site alleges that the company “wants to broaden its base from athletes to actors, and, in particular, appeal to young women.”

RadarOnline further quotes a so-called “source” as saying, “Nike execs believe that with her tomboy cool image, Kristen would be the perfect celebrity spokeswoman to create some new excitement about the brand.”

That’s funny, because Gossip Cop just spoke with a rep for the brand, and we’re told the blog’s story is completely inaccurate.

A spokesperson for Nike tells us, “Kristen is very talented and we’re delighted she chooses to wear Nike, but we’re not in discussions with her over an endorsement contract.”

A Stewart insider also tells Gossip Cop the report is “b.s.”
