Kristen Stewart NOT Married To Alicia Cargile, Despite Report
Kristen Stewart is not “married” nor did she “confirm” she was, despite another erroneous report. Gossip Cop can correct this story, which was published in one of this week’s tabloids. We’re told it’s entirely untrue.
According to OK!, “Stewart isn’t usually one to acknowledge rumors, but following reports that she and Alicia Cargile had split, up, the actress seemed to confirm her commitment by stepping out with a gold band on her ring finger.” To bolster its bogus report, the tabloid then refers to one of its stories from September that claimed, “Despite wanting to keep their nuptials secret,” Stewart had “slipped up” and called Cargile her “wife” at an event.
At the time, the magazine reported during the after-party for the movie American Ultra, Stewart was supposedly overheard saying, “I miss my wife.” But, as Gossip Cop noted back then, it was rather odd only that tabloid had a “source” who heard Stewart refer to Cargile as her “wife” while no other journalists covering the party did. Less odd, however, is that in the intervening four months, no other legitimate outlet has reported Stewart and Cargile are married.
What’s happening now is the tabloid bought a photo of Stewart wearing a ring, a gold-colored band that does not signify a marriage. But it used the tiny piece of jewelry to attempt to back up its previously debunked claim. And once again, it’s all untrue, a source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop. Additionally, we couldn’t find a marriage license for Stewart anywhere.
Sadly, Gossip Cop is not surprised that the magazine is wrong. We have repeatedly corrected the tabloid for making up a slew of false stories about Stewart, including that she was going bald and having Robert Pattinson’s baby. A significant amount of time has passed since both of those claims, and once again, Gossip Cop has been proven accurate, while OK! has shown its reporting in not credible.
