Kristen Stewart Girlfriend: Alicia Cargile Relationship NOT Confirmed By Mom Jules’ Interview
Kristen Stewart’s mom Jules did NOT confirm she is dating Alicia Cargile. The Mirror has published an alleged interview with Jules in which she supposedly confirms Cargile is Stewart’s girlfriend, but Gossip Cop is told she did not make any such statements.
The British paper quotes Stewart’s mother as saying, “I’ve met Kristen’s new girlfriend, I like her. What’s not to accept? She’s a lovely girl.” Other quotes include “What’s not to be accepting about her now having a girlfriend? She’s happy,” and “I accept my daughter loves women and men.” Jules is further quoted as supposedly discussing Stewart’s relationship with Robert Pattinson.
“They were a great couple, but she’s 25 years old and I’d like to see her have a lot more life experience before she chooses someone to settle down with,” the Mirror claims Stewart’s mom told them. “I’m very sad that Kristen and Robert didn’t have a chance to be alone together, they had to have the whole world with them and all the public stuff ruined everything, life became overwhelming.”
Gossip Cop purposefully did not immediately pick up the story as fact, unlike some other outlets, and instead spent the last two days investigating. We were not able to independently verify the quotes, and in fact, one source told Gossip Cop that they didn’t believe parts of Mirror interview were “real.” Now Gossip Cop has learned that while Jules did indeed speak to the Mirror interviewer, she NEVER confirmed any sort of relationship between her daughter and Cargile.
When asked about Cargile, Jules simply called her a “lovely girl,” but NEVER referred to her as Stewart’s “girlfriend,” or spoke about her love life in any way. Gossip Cop has previously been told over the years that Stewart and Cargile were simply best friends. The pair, however, has been photographed recently holding hands, leading to speculation that their relationship may have blossomed into a romance. As of yet, though, there has been no official confirmation that the friendship blossomed into romance.
