Any comment he would have made about the affair would have been turned against him or her. Just look at his Kimmel interview, Rob tells a story of his bikeing in a park and it was turned to an ugly angry attack against him. A pubic statement from Rob would only be used against him or her- people pull everything he says apart- generally reguritating it with their spin on what he said-making it completly unrecongizable.
