Kristen Stewart Did NOT “Shade” FKA Twigs, Despite Report
As Gossip Cop reported, Stewart featured on the cover of V Magazine’s “Most Beautiful Issue, in which she spoke about how social media can negatively affect a person’s life. “You become addicted to that hit by yourself and with yourself, every seven minutes or so, and you end up wasting so much time just validating something very superficial in yourself. It has definitely changed us,” she said.
The repeatedly discredited Celeb Dirty Laundry, however, claims Stewart’s comments were intended to “shade” Twigs, an “avid social media user.” The often disproven site contends, “FKA Twigs uses several different social media platforms to not only reach out to her fans, but to promote her work as well.” “FKA Twigs has over a million followers on her Instagram account and often promotes either her clothing line, a new collaboration or her music,” further purports the webloid. “[Stewart] thinks that people who use social media feel the need to prove their worth online.”
Despite the absurdity of CDL’s story, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the actress who assures us the report is completely “false.” Stewart did not throw shade at Twigs when she discussed the effects of social media, and any claims made otherwise are simply unfounded.
Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by the outlet’s inaccurate report. In February, we called out the website for falsely alleging Stewart used her performance on “SNL” to shade Robert Pattinson. And shortly before that tall tale, we corrected the site for wrongly claiming Stewart was quitting acting for directing. Neither story was true, and the same goes for this latest one.
