HollywoodLife Stirs The Pot With Kristen Stewart Nicholas Hoult “Dinner Date” Story
The webloid reports that Stewart and Hoult, who are set to start filming Equals together next week, went on a “dinner date” in Tokyo on Thursday. To most rational people, the casual outing between co-stars was seen as just that — a casual outing.
But rationality has never been HollywoodLife’s strong suit. So the shameless blog is now using the hangout to spark a new romance rumor.
“Quiet Brits are certainly Kristen’s type,” blathers HollywoodLife, as if that’s evidence of a relationship between the stars. “Kristen and Nick also seem to have a lot in common, and they’re even the exact same age.” Cue eye roll.
Then HollywoodLife, proving that it knows squat, turns things over to its readers, asking, “Are Kristen and Nicholas getting romantic, or was it just a friendly date between co-workers?” Um, any site that needs to ask its audience to do its job for them should get out of the journalism business immediately.
Of course, HollywoodLife is more interested in click-bait. By using phrases like “dinner date,” the webloid proves it cares more about irresponsibly stirring the pot than providing accurate, objective information.
HollywoodLife pulled a similar stunt with Stewart and On The Road co-star Garrett Hedlund, and Zac Efron and The Lorax co-star Taylor Wift, and Julianne Hough and Footloose co-star Kenny Wormald. In HollywoodLife’s bizarre alternate universe, colleagues can never just be colleagues.
But, back in the real world, Gossip Cop investigated. There is no indication whatsoever that Stewart and Hoult are dating.
