Dear Rob,I know exactly what you are going through and it is an unimaginable pain! I was in a much watched relationship that people saw as idealic and romantic and my girlfriends wished they had . I adored him he was talking engagement and marriage children everything. And then it happened I was totally blindsided and if their hadn’t been photos I never would have believed it was true . I was crushed and I was even physically ill at the thought it was that shocking to me. Everyone is asking why there are all these pictures, but no video… Well…there is a vid. Of course there is, these paps make their living this way, they are ready for everything But you don’t see the video. Why not? A most likely theory you don’t see it is because it is very unfavorable to RS’s advances being a wanted and/or reciprocated thing by Kristen. I suspect the video shows that this all happened rather quickly. I agree that no one should make decisions for other people and I am in no way saying that these two should never get back together do I think it’s likely – no I don’t – but this is my opinion.

I commend your friend for standing by her husband – and I am certainly glad it has worked out for them. However the circumstances are different – a woman cheating on a man – can leave that man feeling emasculated, couple that with the feelings of absolute betrayal – it can make something like this extremely hard to recover from. Is it fair that society treats men and women differently – no it’s not – but it is life.

Whether Rob and Kristen reconcile or not, when they calm down, they have to talk. No one should end a relationship by just walking away. While it was good for Rob at this point, to separate himself from the situation, he has to face it; either to reconcile with her or to move on, but that talk has to happen and outsiders should not interfere.
