Yes, there’s a reason but it could be anything. It could be entirely internal to Kristen and that particular moment in time and may have nothing whatsoever to do with anybody else. Perhaps she is insecure and found the extra validation of being pursued by somebody she looked up to professionally, too tempting to resist. How the hell would anyone know except herself? It makes Celebitchy look benign and that’s saying something.They desperately want him to abandon her because they think it will really hurt her badly and, more than anything, they want to hurt her. I honestly do not understand where that level of loathing is coming from. It is beyond me completely but it is there. And these women do not want Rob. Far from it. Not really. I went to see BD2 and there was animosity in the audience for Kristen. give me a fucking break. I am a menopausal woman who finds what Kristen did to be quite normal, given her age and dating backing (practically zero.) I think most older women understand her mistake and are quite willing to “forgive” her – as it’s none of our business who she chooses to kiss, or love. All in all I think the movies were a big disappointment not that I expected anything else. Hardwicke’s Twilight kept the spirit of the novel even though Rosenberg’s screenplay was a mess, but I really don’t blame Catherine. She wasn’t in charge and Summit was in ghastly financial shape and the psychology that goes with a crumbling business enterprise cannot be discounted. Weitz’s NM was good but still the CGI was cheap as it has continued to be. Too bad they didn’t have Rupert Sanders, to make a poor joke. Slade was the most honest in turning Eclipse into Camp and his uncompromising vision of that eliminated the hypocrisy in NM that is in the rest of them.

I don’t think anyone expected it to beat the hunger games or harry potter because those movies have a much wider fanbase. It was only expected to make slightly more than new moon, which doesn’t put it near beating either of those movies. And yes, the movie was number 1 over the weekend in America and the world. It may not have been record breaking, but it was still at the top of the box officeoffice over the weekend.
