Kristen Stewart New York Film Critics Circle Acceptance Speech: “This Is Different” From MTV Movie Awards
Kristen Stewart accepted her Best Supporting Actress trophy at Monday night’s New York Film Critics Circle Awards, where she joked about it “meaning a lot” to receive the prestigious honor because she’s used to winning MTV Movie Awards.
As Gossip Cop reported, the NYFCC, an organization comprised of film critics from various New York-based outlets, announced in December that Stewart was chosen as Best Supporting Actress for her role in Clouds of Sils Maria. Julianne Moore, who co-starred with Stewart in two movies and has known her since she was 12, presented the actress with the award.
During Stewart’s acceptance speech at the ceremony, which was held at New York’s Tao Downtown, she thanked the cast and crew of Clouds of Sils Maria. The actress also joked, “It means a lot to receive this from you. I’ve received a lot of MTV Popcorns and stuff like that, but this is a little different.” Stewart, of course, is referring to the statue handed out at the MTV Movie Awards, where she’s taken home many trophies for her role as Bella in the Twilight franchise.
As Gossip Cop noted on Sunday, the National Society of Film Critics also awarded Stewart with its Best Supporting Actress award for her work in Clouds Of Sils Maria.
