Kris Jenner Trademarking “#ProudMama”
Kris Jenner is seeking to trademark the term “#ProudMama.”
The Kardashian-Jenner matriarch has reportedly filed an application to own the rights to the phrase. Jenner has used the hashtag countless times on social media in reference to her kids, which include Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Rob Kardashian, as well as Kendall and Kylie Jenner. When posting about their accomplishments on Twitter and Instagram, Jenner often ends her messages with “#proudmama.”
The most recent instance came on Wednesday, when Jenner plugged Khloe’s book. She wrote on Instagram, “Wow @KhloeKardashian!! Your book, Strong Looks Better Naked, is such an inspiration!!! Congrats for being on New York Times Best Seller list 4 weeks in a row!!! It’s the perfect Christmas gift!! Thanks for making my Christmas shopping so easy LOL #proudmama #love #family #stronglooksbetternaked.”
And while the post comes off like thinly-veiled publicity for her daughter, Jenner’s trademark application indeed notes she wants to use the “#ProudMama” term for so-called “advertising purposes,” according to TMZ. As Gossip Cop reported, Jenner sought to trademark “momager,” the nickname she’s held for years, back in May. If her applications are approved, anyone seeking to use either phrase in a business capacity would need to get Jenner’s permission. Tell us what you think in the comments below.
