Kris Jenner Denies Selling Out Kardashians For Fame: “Family Was On Board” With ‘KUWTK’
Kris Jenner denies the allegations she sold out her family for fame and fortune in a new interview, insisting they were all “on board with” starring on their reality show “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”
Jenner is featured in the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar, in which she opens up about the controversies surrounding her famous family, especially their past and present significant others. A few of the topics covered include Caitlyn Jenner’s transition, Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian’s breakup, Kim and Kanye West’s marriage, and Lamar Odom’s hospitalization.
But Jenner also responds to the claims that she exploits the Kardashians’ real-life drama for fame and money. “Nooooo,” she says emphatically. “I made and created a show that my family was all on board with, and we were so excited because we got to work together.”
As far as where all the hate comes from, Jenner believes “there’s definitely an attitude when a woman accomplishes anything. But I also think people are very jealous. Or are bitter and angry about their own lives.” She also feels that many of her detractors “don’t have anything else to do but be nasty and criticize someone else.” Jenner also insists, “There are so many millions of people who are great to us that I can’t worry about some idiot in Oklahoma.” And for how she handles the hostility, the reality family matriarch reveals, “You just have to have a thick skin and say, ‘That poor person, I feel sorry for you.'”
