Kris Jenner Paying Caitlyn Jenner $10,000 For Family Appearances?!
Is Kris Jenner paying Caitlyn Jenner $10,000 to make public appearances with the family?! That’s the latest rumor from the tabloids. Gossip Cop looked into the crazy claim.
“Cait’s Play-Nice Payday,” reads the headline in OK!. The story begins, “Money can’t buy love, but it can cover a family photo op! An insider dishes that recent sightings of exes Caitlyn and Kris Jenner together, like their March 13 movie night with kids Kim, Kourtney and Rob Kardashian, happen only because Kris pays Cait an appearance fee, said to be $10,000 a pop.”
The outlet’s alleged “source” is quoted as saying, “Kris can’t stand Cait, and the feeling’s mutual. But Kris is pushing the happy-family angle, so Cait treats it like a job: She shows up for pictures and makes her escape. [Caitlyn] knows that Kris only wants her for the publicity. She does it for the cash and because she’s as addicted to fame as the rest of them.” This purported tipster adds, “It’s a bizarre scenario, but Kris needs Caitlyn to show up sometimes.”
What’s actually bizarre is that this tale stands in contrast to another OK! piece from earlier this year that claimed Caitlyn was secretly living next to Kris in Hidden Hills, and friendly ex-wife Kris was serving as her manager. But now the tabloid is contradicting itself, insisting they’re unfriendly exes who only have contact when Caitlyn is needed for a public appearance.
Well, both versions are wrong. Kris is not Caitlyn’s manager, and she’s not paying her $10,000 every time she goes out with the Kardashian-Jenner clan. The sporadic appearances are just a reflection of the family’s somewhat complicated dynamic. There is no money scheme going on behind closed doors. A rep for Caitlyn tells Gossip Cop the allegations are “all untrue.”
