Kardashians Contemplate Mortality, Make Own Funeral Arrangements on KUWTK

VIDEO

(E!)

Sundays “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” focused on a very serious topic: death.

The famous family was seen contemplating its own mortality, with Kris Jenner making (very early) funeral arrangements, and Kourtney revealing who’d she want to care for son Mason in the event that she and Scott Disick were no longer around.

Even Mason’s new fish fit into the storyline — by unexpectedly dying.

It was Kris’ idea to start making plans for the afterlife, noting, “Everyone’s going to die. Why would you leave the whole situation up to somebody else?”

The suggestion prompted Khloe to joke that Kris would love to “extort” the family by making her own Kardashian cemetery.

Kris, however, was deadly serious about the idea, and convinced Bruce, Kim, Khloe and Rob to take a trip to L.A.’s Hollywood Forever cemetery, where they discussed purchasing a mausoleum.

“I’m into the mausoleum,” Kim said approvingly. “Go hard or go home.”

She later added, “Why not go out and have, like, a fab resting place?”

Kris agreed, calling the preemptive preparations “fun,” and later bringing the family along to pick out caskets — where, she, of course, had to try one out.

But, after the family got more and more uncomfortable with Kris’ fixation on burial plans, Khloe and Rob decided to tell her how how disturbing they found it all.

“I was trying to play along and make it funny, but it’s not funny,” Khloe told her, pointing out that they have already lost one parent.

Meanwhile, it came out that Kourtney and Scott had selected Khloe to be Mason’s guardian if need be, surprising Kim and Kris who were unaware that a decision had been made.

“I have it all planned out,” Kourtney revealed.

Kim later confronted Khloe about the situation, telling her, “I don’t get how Kourtney thinks that you’re the better aunt, when I spend more time with him.”

“It’s not a like a contest,” Khloe shot back.

Kourtney later defended her decision, pointing out that Kim has a very self-centered lifestyle, and saying, “It’s all about Kim right now.”

Kim was very hurt by Kourtney’s comments… until Kourtney revealed she wanted to leave Kim in charge of the “financial” aspects of Mason’s future.

As for Kris, she finally got convinced by Rob to spend more time enjoying her life — and less time planning for the end of it.

This was one crazy episode! A lot comes out of family members when discussing death, apparently. It’s creepy of Kris to start picking out coffins. I thought it was very typical of Kim to get upset over Kourtney picking Khloe to take over guardianship of Mason should her and Scott pass. I watched this recording on my Hopper tonight thanks to the suggestion of a Dish coworker. I love this equipment because I was able to start watching on my living room TV and continue watching in any room in my house right where I left off. I love the convenience!

There is nothing wrong with making Funeral arraingments. I know this first hand. When my dad passed away two years ago, we didn’t have anything set in stone. Thank goodness for the beautiful funeral, that my mom and brother had gone too. My dad wanted to be cremanted, and ashes scattered , in a local lake, due to him loving to fish. The funeral home was wonderful, and understood what we wanted. When my dad finally did die, they came picked his body up, and before they even cremanted they called us the day before to ask did we want to see him one more time. We all declined, cause we all said are good-byes, and wanted to remember him in our own certain way.

Making arraingements might sound “CRAZY, MORBID,” but it’s the right thing to do. You have no ideal what loved ones go through when arraingements, are not set in stone. Truth be told, some funeral homes will get over on those who have lost someone, because they are not thinking straight. Having a daughter, son, parent make the arraingements before the time comes is the best thing, a person could ever do. I know for my mom, her arraingements are set in stone, and we make monthly payments until it’s paid off. When something does happene, everything is set in stone , iZ don’thave to worry about , every asking about arraingements. Their will be a viewing before my mom is cremanted, then a memorial service.

I just personally thingk KUWTK, didn’t take the matter seriously. At least Kourtney & Scott are thinking what is best for Mason, and their daughter. Khole hit right on the market, by saying Kim is too self-centered, and thinks about herself. If I were Kourtney, in all honesty, I’d have Khole, have guardiaship of both children, and money aspects. truth be told, if Kris and Kim were in charge they would honestly, ruin their lives.

Thought that said MORALITY at first but then I remembered they have NO morals. Will be happy when they all disappear back under the rock they came out of.

Making arrangements for your passing and to make the lost a little less stressful for your family is a positive thing, but to actually drag your children into it Sooo Deeply speaks to Kris’ insensitivity and narcissism. How could she cry for her Children’s father at one end but forget their loss and pain in such a sensitive topic. It was also insane to me that she took her children SHOPPING for burial plots and mausoleum like she was shopping for a celebration outfit right before an event. Im not suggesting they get all depressed but instead to treat the matter with the respect it deserves. Perhaps celebrating life afterwards and leaving them out of Picking out the Flowers they would want for their funerals. It was just creepy, disrespectful, insensitive, lavish and cruelly wrong!! Especially from a mother!
