Kris Jenner: Caitlyn “Looked Beautiful” At ESPYs, Speech Was “Amazing, Very Brave”
Kris Jenner has nothing but kind words to say about Caitlyn Jenner’s ESPY Awards speech, even though the momager did not attend the event in person along with the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family.
Speaking to Us Weekly on Thursday at the Amazon Summer Soiree in Los Angeles, Kris said she thought Caitlyn’s acceptance speech for the Arthur Ashe Courage Award was “amazing and very brave.” The matriarch also said she thought Caitlyn “looked beautiful” in her white Versace dress. The comments were Kris’ first remarks on her ex’s honor.
As Gossip Cop reported, Caitlyn was surrounded by her kids and step-children at the ESPYs on Wednesday. In attendance were Kylie, Kendall, Cassandra, Burt, Brody and Brandon Jenner, as well as Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian. Rob Kardashian skipped the ceremony, and has yet to comment on Caitlyn’s award. During her 10-minute ESPY speech, an emotional Caitlyn said she was so thankful to have her family’s support throughout her transition.
Afterward in a backstage interview with ABC’s Robin Roberts, the former Olympic athlete said, “It’s a great to be in a position where myself and my family have been so supportive of what is happening. You know, my kids are great. My kids are absolutely wonderful. I am blessed to have just wonderful children.”
For her part, though, Kris has been limited in her public support. Prior to this new interview, she only broke her silence on Caitlyn’s debut as a woman a few weeks ago, nearly a month after the official transition. TELL US: What do you think of Kris’ take on Caitlyn’s ESPY Award?
